But first, as a quick recap for the new issues… The one-tenth ounce Koala silver coin is a unique offering which is available directly from The Perth Mint of Australia (http://www.perthmint.com.au/). The 10-cent denominated coin features the same reverse design as the other 2011 koala silver coin releases for this year, but it is priced under $14. The Grizzly Silver coin is the second 2011-dated release from the Royal Canadian Mint and the second issue in its new six coin Canadian Wildlife bullion series. The series will feature six different reverse designs at a rate of two each year until 2013. The Grizzly coin is composed of 99.99% fine silver and weighs one ounce. As a bullion offering, it is not sold directly through the Canadian Mint’s website, just like bullion American Eagles are not available directly from the United States Mint. Instead, buyers will need to track down the coins through coin distributors and dealers. These coins have a limited 1 million mintage. Buyers should be able to find the Grizzly coin through resellers who also offer bullion Canadian Silver Maple Leafs.
