Two US Mint gold coins have sold out since the Mint sales figures were reported last Thursday. The proof American Eagle Gold Four-Coin Set went late last week and the one-half ounce option disappeared from Mint store shelves by this morning.

The former appears to have already been accounted for in Mint stats given no increase was reported. However, sales of the one-half ounce Eagle proof were on fire with a 83.3 percent rise, or up 2,639 to 5,808 total. The remaining proof sizes are showing strong numbers as well, but are in the shadows compared to the demand for uncirculated gold Eagle coins.
