The Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) introduced on Friday a silver "tri-component" coin that continues the "Renowned Bulgarian Voices" coin series and commemorates Nikolay Georgiev Gyaurov, a world renowned opera singer from Bulgaria.

Gyaurov starred on all the great opera theatres stages, including Paris, New York, London, Vienna, San Francisco, Buenos Aires and Barcelona. According to Radio Bulgaria,

"His fans experienced rare moments of delight and his family surrounded him with love and gratitude throughout his 50-year long career. Everything he did during his remarkable life, the great singer devoted to his motherland Bulgaria."
