CoinNews does not buy or sell coins. CoinNews will never buy or sell coins. Revenue is received through ads and affiliates visibly seen on the site. Not a single dime has ever been made from CoinNews through any other means.

Collecting coins has been a source of fun and excitement in my family for four generations. I started actively collecting in my early teens and have continued through every stage of my life and careers. That’s now nearly 30 years of collecting.
At CoinNews.net, we strive to be a great source of coin news, information and coin conversations for the benefit of anyone interested in coins and coin collecting.

I started collecting coins about three years ago. Although I’m a new coin collector, I grew up with an older brother who constantly asked my sister and me to search through bags of circulated coins for rare dates/mints. My father collected currency so I was exposed to that side of collecting too. I also worked at a few banks as a teller and found myself looking at coins during the slow periods, but I was not actively collecting at the time, like I do now.

While not the coin collector I would like to be, I always find enjoyment in it. Both by purchasing new coins, which can be fun for the present, or by finding older coins.
These older coins have a way of taking me back to the past, either imagining about what times were like when the coin was new, or just remembering my father adding to his collection when I was a kid! -
