On Thursday, September 19, the United States Mint issued its newest America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set. This fourth one of the year and the 19th in the series has three mounted 2013 Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine quarters.

Atypically, all but one of the sets is still being sold at the US Mint website (www.usmint.gov/catalog). This gives new collectors an opportunity to get them straight from the bureau at prices of $9.95 for those released since 2012 and of $14.95 for all others since the series started in 2010. Most US Mint products are on sale for a year at most. The one no longer available is the sold out El Yunque Quarters Three-Coin Set.

This year’s first three sets held quarters emblematic of:

• White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire
• Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial in Ohio
• Great Basin National Park in Nevada

For the most recent Fort McHenry Quarters Three-Coin Set, it has numismatic (collector) quarters depicting the national site found in the state of Maryland. Two of the America the Beautiful Quarters are in uncirculated quality with one from the Philadelphia Mint and the other from the Denver Mint. The other America the Beautiful Quarter is in proof quality and is from the San Francisco Mint.

Upcoming with a release date in November is the last 2013-dated set will coins honoring Mount Rushmore National Memorial Site in South Dakota.
