Beginning sales of the 2014 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set are weaker than sales starts of past issues, according to new United States Mint figures. That continues a trend.

Debut sales totaled 46,634 between the set’s release on Jan. 21, 2014 through to Jan. 26, 2014, marking a modest dip of 2,417 units from last year’s open compared to a bigger 29,122 difference from the starting sales of the very first America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set released in 2010.

*The U.S. Mint waited three weeks before reporting the first batch of sales figures for the 2011 ATB Quarters Silver Proof Set. ** The Mint continues to sell the 2013 ATB Quarters Silver Proof Set. Its price since released has been lowered to $31.95, which is the same price as the new set.
