Hey Rick , I ended up getting the 1/2 gold Superman coin a little after the HHL was lifted. I called the mint and they said they pre-authorize the card to check if credit limit is enough but that it should drop off and be charged closer to the shipping date.

Spot on Cali, I never saw a reason for this series and the Jet reverse Amd maybe a pot farm, there’s $ there, baseball didn’t sell crazy, basketball neither, pink gold, low mintage wonders all didn’t draw in more folk, and unfortunately this series won’t either, there’s designs maybe off, or even better Batman!? Anyway, long term bullion items and a 2 1/2z Ag round.

Order limits have been lifted all Superman options remain. If you like it buy it, but I don’t see leg$ in the aftermarket. Design, costs all in play, you’re kinda buried till Au hits $5k ish. I prefer the classic pre 33 US gold, $20,Liberties slabbed offer some decent values. Or even AGEs, you get more Au for your $$$. I always have an eye towards profits I more accumulate but do have Dansco albums, which pursuit has gone on sabbatical.

I got lucky after missing a first fake run up. ThemSman coins are very pricey and ALL remain available as of now. Sacagawea should be a CU 1sr day or sooner and maybe a drop in Au lowers the price a tad. I like the corporate sponsorship coin idea, Sheik keeping dudes out of debt since….

‘Price is high’…says it all as far as I’m concerned. I’d second Cali’s comment about buying what you like, but if you’re buying to flip for $$$, it’ll probably be dicey! I’ve purchased many Au coins from the mint over the years, but haven’t since 2021 due to their very high premiums on PM coins. I’ve never sold a single coin, but like to realise a gradual ROI over time with the ones in my collection. Paying the mints price point for recent coins reminds me of those naive folks buying from HSN and Mike Mezack….a losing proposition. I’m only buying the privy ASE’s, the Silver Proof Set, and maybe the RP Morgans and Peace dollars this year. I like them and as I said, I’m not reselling them. Cheers

REB, I don’t like that this is a vanity series for the designer and or sculptors to flaunt their initials! Their initials are as much of a part of the design as any of the other design elements IMO. Too big and too prominently displayed. Way, way worse than those 1909 VDB initials IMO.

Also, don’t care for the jet vs prop plane and the coins and medals omission of, “truth, justice and the American way”, saying/motto.

Oh well, whatever, as you mention high price, I will not be purchasing any of these comic book, DC Comics/Warner Brothers, high premium money grab products. Due to the high prices, I do not see this as being very attractive to new or newer U.S Mint customers either and since this is the demographic these were meant for, I see this program as a failure before we even get to the second of 9 different superhero products to be offered over the next 2 1/2 years. This is a tough time of transition for the hobby of numismatics for a myriad of reasons. We are truly at a crossroads!

We will get there eventually, however IMO it will take gold hitting $5,200 plus per ounce before being able to break even on the gold coins if and when it comes time to sell the coin in OGP. The silver medals will be looked at as novelty rounds and they will always be traded for spot or less than spot melt. They will never be given any kind of recognition or respect as a numismatic offering and will soley be looked at, as just a precious metal trinket IMO. Thats ok and I don’t have a problem with that. If people like them, that is wonderful! I just do not see much demand for any of these now or in the future.

I still would like to see a U.S. Mint, North American Predator Series. 1-2 years 4-8 issues in a 1 oz size. I’d like a 5oz series, however at $455 per 5oz coin, I’m not willing to pay the price and I really am not a fan of this $105 per 1oz coin either. My days as a collector are pretty much over. A shame, as I do enjoy the history of our coinage and hobby, however I just can’t sustain or justify the expenditure much longer.

Praying for a hold on any price increases, prior to 2027. Otherwise I’ll be foregoing any of our 250th Anniversary Sestercentennial products.

PS It’s even becoming quite difficult and rare to collect current year issued coins from circulation. 2024 & 2025 coins are MIA for the most part, no matter the denomination.

While I ‘get’ the Reverse.., it is overly LAME,

IF this is a DC Comic related release.., then there should be a ‘Kapow!” Somewhere on the coin, at least an action scene…,
