Yes gman1964, it was the mix of the coin and the grading certificate, also you can’t have thin skin on this thread. I in no way trust MM and his sales pitches. Once in a rare chance he does sell a bargain. Last year he sold the 2019 Silver Proof set for around $85 with the RP Cent (lost and found in his warehouse, has he ever heard of an inventory system?). It’s an average price of $130. He and who he represents are prime examples of buyer beware. My biggest gripe is he is called an expert and keeps saying the ASE’s are sold out for years and years and years via Enrollments and yet if you look they are still open to select on the Mint website.

I think with what Harry and Megan are doing is going to cause the RF to disband. While they generate tons of tourism dollars for the country, many are getting offended over how much they actually own and get paid. But all this negative attention is not helping. I think an amusement park where Buckingham is will be fine. Relocate that ferris wheel. I believe the Canada mint will put the face on the coun that will garner the most sales. Probably another split year. Or the idea of a possible short run or limited release (I don't think mike had his fingers in Canada exlusives) will yield huge growth in the coffers. I mean why give a bank a roll of quarters at face value when you can sell at the mint for $10 per coin. Or have your black market coin company peddle it on the internet for even more graded.

Not sure about the mike methsack coin. Seems he has monopolized the US mint. Exclusive flag. Exclusive this. Limited edition of 9,000. Limited to first day only for new year. Igc, anacs, ngc, pcgs. Has his own foot in the door. I almost got one for the free grading, but I got the anacs before a few years ago and never got to use it. When I did consider, it expired. Of course I got in March and expired in June. At least this offer you get 6 months. Other thing. When I call the grades, they say they don't grade individually. Must be bulk of 100. So either have to pay coin shop, or attend a coin show. Or spend over $2600. How the ones you get from hsn work I don't know. Think all 6 or 5 have to go same time since I only got 1 certificate years ago.

No I didn't buy any. I mean the 2023 new year would be cool, but it's just regular ase with a meth mike Exclusive label. Which begs the question...

Let's say 10,000 coins made. Half are 70, the rest are 67. So 5,000 MS70 coins would be made. Mike has his LE offers in NGC, IGC, ANACS, PCGS. Let's say 1,000 each. So to the regular public, only 1,000 coins are available to grade at 70 are possible. Right. So the question is...

How would it reflect in the population count for rarity? Of course it's 1 of 1,000. (His LE set) but if they are spread out, does it create artificial scarcity overall? Does his LE offerings count toward ( as part of population) or against (separate from population) the 5,000.

When I started I got a couple LE coins. Thinking that the 4,000 or 9,000 or whatever the number meant it was a mint LE, not a 3rd party generic LE. Does his label change the value of the coin because it shows limited edition? I mean he says only 9,000 in MS70 with his exclusive anacs label. So you think ok not a lot. Then a couple months later, he adds 9,000 with ngc etc. So you go, hmmm ngc says only 10,000 are graded at ms70. Not bad. But if you count his (I presume) it is actually 19,000. Okay still not bad. But then add his flag label of 9,000. And his liberty core of 9,000 and his MM label of 9,000 and hsn label of 9,000. Now that's potentially 55,000 ms70. Do that for all 4 grading company. That's 220,000. Well out of 1 million total coins minted, that is 25% of the coins made. Doesn't really sound that rare. Then add FDOI, ADVANCE release, the mint or engravers signature and it's higher.

Next. Let's say you lucky and have an ms70 ase set and missing one. All are the standard ngc label. The one you are missing can only be found through mike. So it's an anacs 70. Since the set isn't exclusively NGC dame label, does it matter? Or is it subjective and really down to what the collector values it as.

Lot of speculation and variables. I just saw that a vhs copy of a movie sold for 84,000. It was a bad movie. But people sent them 100s of vhs copies over the years as a gag joke. So they went online and filmed themselves destroying over 100 copies of the movie. Sent the survivor in for grading and sold it. Then a few days later I read that there are a lot of copies of the tape available (from other people) so the film or vhs isn't that rare. Can't imagine being the guy that paid 86k for a movie that wasn't rare and could buy for literally $5 all day every day. But I guess if it is the only one showing in a population then it makes it worth it. But I'd rather buy a $5 one, pay $30 to grade it, even if it comes back a grade lower I could sell it for 40,000 (theoretically) since it would be the only 69 available.

I think with the new IRS requirement to report any money over $600 from eBay, PayPal, venmo, etc that scalpers will slow down as well as the bots. Those 87,000 irs agents are really gonna stick it to the 1% by going after the $600 sales online. Demand will drop. And should be easier to buy online on release.

Hi Allan, just wondering, not trying to be critical or anything, did you buy from MM to get the grading certificate that comes with the NGCX coin? Most/all of MM prices are 75-100% more than other retail outlets. I purchased one of the NCGX as well from another seller for $78 with free shipping, just to have one out of curiosity.
That seems to be the going rate.

MM is really making a killing selling those silver bars in grams. 250g bars for $450, 1000g bars for $1539. Current silver price per gram is .77 cents, or $192.50 for 250g and $770 for 1000g.

Oh, well.
