Do you really think the Mint would melt the unsold 2017 Liberty coins? My God, that would scream of racism! I don’t believe our institutions, hell our country, could survive such an act.

In case you have not heard. Ebay is forcing the pre-sale sellers to cancel all pre-sale orders and do refunds to the buyers. The long term pre -sale window is now a problem with Ebay policy. I just got a refund for the Morgan “D” issue that I was shut out by the mint for. any one else get this msg?

I think the biggest “draw” to the Morgan and Peace Dollar releases is what they are inherently….2 beloved coin designs by the numismatic community. In my opinion their ultimate value will be stacked upon rich histories of both designs….hence the actual demand by true collectors. I missed out on the D and S morgans….which im ok with . I hope the actual market for them settles to a reasonable price once all is said and done.The whole fiasco of their release is whats truly pumping up the price right now as i see it. Right now ordering a coin on the mint site is akin to putting a coin in a slot machine and MAYBE you get lucky. (With bulk buyers in the cashiers cage pre picking the coins they want before they are placed in the slot machine)

So, do you think the cc & O will maintain a value in excess of $350 or more? Just asking.

So if you look into your crystal ball – what do you think the value of the 5 – 2021 morgans and the 2021 peace dollar will look like after the mint delivers the merchandise? The cc and o privy morgans are both well in excess of $350, will this value hold up? What say you?

still makes you wonder if there is one hundred and eighty million dollars worth of stock made and sitting on a shelf. That said, the value has risen significantly since 2017.

Well, maybe we can attribute the drops to one of these “off-the-wall” reasons!

1) the US Mint is performing detailed forensics of the purchases and are invalidating purchases from BOTs and known associates of buying clubs.

2) the dealers know when orders will open for the remaining unsold coins. In order to save the “bounty” money paid to their legions of buyers, they are cancelling their orders. They will work together and when orders reopen, they will buy the entire stock of remaining coins (remember, no household limit!) and make a huge bundle of money!

3) flippers feel guilty for ordering more than one coin and are returning the extras so more true collectors can buy their one coin when reorders reopen!
