Happy to say I am starting to receive some 2026 dimes and nickels in change. Absolutly no 2026 quarters are to be found either in local banks or in change. Not sure why. I normally do not see current minted coins till the following year in the Western NJ and Eastern Pennsylvania areas. Local banks never request NEW coins, they just place an order for coins and receive current circulated items. Have done some penny roll searches this past summer and came across several early Lincolns with a bunch of them in the early 40's and mid to late 50's. Two rolls I purchased from a local bank had all wheaties. Was really surpised and shocked to see that happen. Have not done roll serchers for some time and was happy with my results with some good finds: 1910-P, 1919-D, 1927-D, 1938-P, 1939-P, 1943-P, lots of early 40's and late 50's plus a BU 1959-P and my best find was a 1969-S with a very pronounced double mint mark and double date in EF.

I last bought on the dip a couple months back, when Au very briefly dropped below $4K. Definitely will continue to watch for a bottom during this current trend.

And as a guy who does mostly cash transactions across the mid-Atlantic states, I received my very first SQC Revolutionary War Quarter just last week; also with a "D" mint mark. Based on its appearance, it had been circulating for a while. Still no other 2026 coinage at any denomination.

Indeed Cali, a lot of folks are observing that recapturing the excitement of the SemiQ isn't looking hopeful. Dogs and youth sports is not going to achieve it. A series from 100 years ago on the Roaring Twenties would be more exciting than games children play even if the mint were to numizmatize dodge ball, swirlies and ditch. Lots of good 20s material; women got the right to vote, everyone lost the right to drink, organized crime made sure no one went thirsty. Art and fashion took memorable turns as art nouveau transitioned into art deco mirroring technology of the era. Radio became a new form of communication and entertainment along with talkies then a massive dam on the Colorado River was planned and destined to alter the financial trajectories of neighboring states. At the end of the decade there is the apocryphal shoeshine boy who gives stock advice to Joseph Kennedy where in he sees the bubble and shorts the market. I'd buy a collection of those quarters.

Who doesn’t like a good ole’ train for a sense of nostalgia and posterity sakes? Too bad that we won’t be getting commemoratives in 2027 to celebrate the 200th year of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad(B&O)! I might have come off the commemorative sidelines to grab some of those. Although I’m a huge fan of all dogs, these Americas Vet Dogs/Service dog commemorative designs, just don’t strike my fancy. Oh well, I went from virtually minimal to no Mint purchases in 2021-2025 to close to $20K in 2026. In 2027, it’s looking like I’ll be back to the minimal to none, riding the pine, just watching from the well worn bench wa

SOS!!!!! Silver On Sale
PMs pummeled, yet the trend remains intact.
I’m amazed by the lack of posts today.
My 5/3 banker showed me his 2 quarters he’s gotten OTC from customer deposits. He said he’s the first teller in that branch to get any 2026s ! One was Declaration of Independence and the other a Revolutionary War. Very nice and both Denver (unusual down here in SWFL.)
