Vince,

I went back to the AT&T Store and the gal there told me to try taking my coin pictures in "Portrait" mode. Seems a little better.

Peace out.

Rich,

Thanks

On a previous thread, HarryB said Bessent had a plan. Maybe it wasn’t the plan he wanted, but he certainly made it clear to the world where he and the administration are headed.

And the cracks in the global debt markets are becoming harder to ignore.

The yen hit 160 yesterday despite intervention. The U.S. 30-year Treasury pushed to 5.30% despite aggressive jawboning. Japan’s 10-year yield hit its highest level in 30 years.

That’s not what a market that is stabilizing looks like.
Gold is responding accordingly—to geopolitical risk, higher oil prices, persistent inflation and now the growing possibility that the Fed could actually raise rates.

Polymarket currently puts the odds of a 25-basis-point Fed hike in two weeks at 57%, a substantial increase from before Jackson Hole.

The interventions may be getting bigger, but so are the cracks.

At some point, the market decides whether the authorities are actually in control—or simply trying to keep the system together.

My old HP flatbed scanner worked really well for coins and my new HP Scanner doesn't. Go figure. My old iPhone S took the best coin pictures and my new iPhone 17 Air takes lousy coin pictures.

BTW, Great pics and coins Vince!

REB,

Those Inverted C3's have gotten so expensive. I think JQC owns one. It seems like the error stamp market (EFOs) is the place to be these days. Here is one I picked up last week.
