In reply to c_q. I agree on the bells. They were also WAY overpriced. The FIFA coins should have been released in January and marketed and sold BEFORE and DURING the tournament. The Mint has been handsomely rewarded for its woeful mishandling of the World Cup product with crappy sales.

In reply to c_q. The buyer clubs, the Pokemon, shoe, & toy flippers were all over the Bells. The Silver Bells hit paydirt. Not so fast with the Gold Bells. No flip developed, so lots of returns. I've heard of a handful (vs hundreds)of complaints about the capsule/holder.

The strangest one for me was the liberty bell-shaped coins, that were initially completely sold out, until people received their shifty packaging and about half were apparently sent back (or perhaps cancelled unshipped orders).

on the FIFA coins, looks like the mint didn’t even make 10% of the total possible, as if they knew these weren’t really going to come close to selling out.
