That’s so true! It’s honestly pretty frustrating. I’ll probably never find even one of the 250,000 that were put into circulation, even though I think it was an awesome idea.
The biggest problem is actually getting quarters to search. Unless you’re friends with or related to a bank teller, good luck getting fresh rolls. My bank won’t even give me new rolls anymore, so the odds of finding one feel next to impossible.

You can buy these quarters on eBay if you really want some now. Stop bugging the bank!

The Mint struck millions & millions of these coins.

Some people (stupidly) hoard them, but if you use cash at certain businesses, like grocery stores, fast food or laundromats, you’ll find some soon enough.

In reply to Rick. These stories are great but the actual purchase of these coins is a joke. The price is outrageous to order from the mint and you cannot find them in circulation plus every bank I have visited has told me the same thing. We cannot get these coins. They will not lets us order them. So unless you’re rich you can forget owning any of them.

THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE THE 250,000 QUARTERS 90% SILVER. THAT WOULD HAVE MADE THEM A TRUE RARITY. THE BIG 5 OUNCE SILVER COINS ARE JUST A FREAK THAT NORMAL PEOPLE WONT BE ALL THAT INTERESTED IN.

I’m rooting for you to get a 70!! I’m definitely in your corner! I’m going to be sending in some gold for grading myself! I have so much that needs to get graded! Ugh, it’s a pain sending them in! Packaging, paying for Registered/Insured isn’t cheap either! I worry something is or could happen during the shipment (lost, stolen, damaged, etc.)!!! Then theres the possibility of problems with PCGS. There’s a lot that can happen as you know! It is exciting and nerve racking waiting for the grade. It’s very expensive too! I probably have $4K-$5K of grading fees staring me in the eyes, lol! Gulp! Ugh!
