Thanks JC. But if you would like me to create wrapping paper for you using this, or any other graphic, off the Mint's site ... tell me. Like swimming it's so easy to do once you know how to do it. But that certainly is a classic coin ... one with inherit classic beauty.
Btw, I'd share with you an image of my grandson opening his 4th of July gift ... but I'm concerned it could go viral.

CaliSkier, It'll be interesting to see what those rare (250,000) July 4th DoI coins sell for next year. Has Websters added a new definition for the word 'rare' to include mintages of 250K or less? eBay listers always include 'Rare' in their listings...I guess thev've learned a thing or two from Mezack on selling coins to the naive. I'd like to have one in my collection and might buy a nice graded example if the prices are reasonable. Anyway, stay cool and have an enjoyable 4th of July! It'll be fun tonight!

Oh by the way, I scotch taped 2 of the legal sized prints together (on the long sides) to do the wrapping paper for the outside of the box. --- Mike

Rick ---
No. You cannot buy that Wrapping Paper. I made it. Yes, people with too much time and creativity on their hands do the damnedest things. And as a retired Aerospace Engineer I often look for creative solutions to everyday problems.

So attached is what I used as "the base liner" for that wrapping paper: I downloaded the official Mint's images for all of the coins and selectively sized and paster them into an expanded 8,5" x 14" (legal sized paper) image. Then I trimmed them it down to just the exact legal sized paper by trimming off just inside the lines you will see inside it.

Have some fun by downloading the attached image and printing it (after trimming it down to those lines). The interesting thing is that it makes a near perfect fit for the brown cardboard boxes you get from the Mint for most coins

Just make sure to add the "United States Mint images" notation to anything you print ... so as to keep their lawyers off your hind side! Enjoy.
