In reply to GMG. Every Mint employee received 2 privy mark quarters and a silver proof 2026 set per a letter from Paul Hollis. So the mint employees who are smart about coins got them on EBay ASAP.

In reply to CaliSkier. Cali, One of the two that guy has on auction is already at $1200. Would you pay that for a coin that probably would grade 65-66, maybe 67? In the plastic it's hard to tell how many scratch marks are there. I'd rather wait to see what graded examples start selling for if buying one.

Because the July 4th privy quarters are not going to be available until July 4 and because the Mint claims they’re going to randomly distributed, it seems impossible that someone has an entire role of them already, especially when the role hasn’t even been opened to check what’s in it.

The guy had at the very least a connection with his bank/credit union. Good for him!
I would cherry the nicer examples to be graded and keep/sell the lower quality coins raw, if lucky enough to find fresh unc 4th privies in rolls or change.

CACG yesterday sent out a message for a new ‘free’ flag label for the 4th Q’s, but no bounty for a ‘first’ discovery submission…

Dang, $2000 is not bad per se, from a sellers standpoint, unless that roll has additional Privy coins within? We also don’t know, if he had a whole box, multiple boxes or if he was extremely Lucky and found in just a few rolls? We’ll never know, however I’m betting someone else, in the know, already has those 1st examples in the mail and or possibly already in NGC or PCGS’s possession?

Any idea or thoughts about CACG entering the Bounty Fray Rick? Curious, if you’d you been the lucky one, if you’d have sent them(majority) off for grading or sold them raw? With as many as it appears he had, hopefully he sent a few off for grading?

In reply to Rick. With that being said, PCGS, just yesterday sent out their own bounty for the 'first' 4th privy quarter to be graded at $5k... Soo, if the guy who bought the roll (or a single) for $2k sends it in to PCGS asap, perhaps they can get their $2k back, and then some? Fun-fun...

"The 2026 Declaration of Independence Quarter with 4th of July Privy has brought this guy $12K-$13K so far! He had multiple listings that have already sold, including a roll with an ender that went for a best offer accepted under $5K." Not so fast.. "best offer accepted under 5K". Well, yes, but not necessarily what one might think... He did hit it big to be sure, just not that big. There's a website that reveals the price paid for eBay's "best offers".
