The most notable difference is that the dates on V1 appear much sharper. But you be the judge. The other thing is that while I did not find any flaws in the Reverse of V1, both of mine bought as V2 coins had noticeable flaws. Again, you be the judge.

I’d be curious to know how your coins … V1 vs V2 … faired.

I’m glad my posting helped you get one. Fyi, I also checked a bunch of the other ones that I was most interested in snagging like your Congratulations Set, the Silver Proof Set, and the American Eagle 2026 One Ounce Silver Enhanced Uncirculated Coin. No luck on any of them though.

I still think that the best gift for grandparents to give their grandkids would be the P/D Uncirculated ( MW) Set AND the Clad Proof (MY) Set. RIGHT NOW you can still buy both of them on subscription and know that it will include all 30 (even the Proof S Penny) of the 250th coins in as pristine condition as possible. A real buy at about $235 all things considered! But CalSkier commented that they may go off subscription today so better act fast.

You are not alone. I called the Mint’s customer service # months ago on it. I was told that it was a 2 pack version of Reverse Proofs. But they already had single versions (Morgan and Peace) so I thought it might just be for those that wanted one but not the other. Fyi, I am subscriptions for both and just feel I will keep (or return) them based on what makes the most sense for my collection at that time.

But the description for this one is clear as mud saying “The Morgan and Peace Dollar Two-Coin Set contains one Morgan Dollar Coin and one Peace Dollar Coin with stunning finishes”. I think the “stunning” in this one will be your surprise at whatever you get. Very very frustrating.

But that is not the only coins this year that are confusing … as the title of the coin may say one thing but the description within it says another. So it IS very confusing.

I had one in my cart yesterday, but when I went to checkout it showed unavailable and to remove from cart. I did not remove it. I got lucky and was at my computer right at 1139 EST today when the text came through. I logged into my account, and the coin was still in my cart and ready for checkout. Purchased and received confirmation. That was a nice surprise since I thought for sure they were all sold out yesterday.
