Hollis has been on the job for about a month now, and there’s at least 3 pivots that we can cite that are ‘uncharacteristic’ for the USM,

I like it…, it’s gonna get good….. good for the collector anyway,

All positive IMHO.., and long over due, think we’re going to experience a ‘Golden’ Renaissance under Hollis, pun intended, LoL,

& have mercy on the next dipshit on CN that wants go bashing on Trump’s nomination of Hollis as USM Director - I’m spring loaded.

Well, if I get salute from you, then I can go about my day with a smile,

With Hollis, we might see it, there’s other ways to advocate for it, beyond a USM survey, We’ll see…. Partners in crime is a powerful thing….

Though should we, in silver or gold, one guarantee is that someone here on CN will be bitch’n about the price…. Than relishing in the moment..

“The sets will sell fast,“ - this is the first positive coin thing you’ve said in like, 6-9 months,

Forgive me, I have my mother’s memory like an elephant, who now has dementia, though can still tell you what happen on this day, 30 years ago.., it’s a crazy thing.., I wish the regular posters here on CN had her memory, as it would be far more beneficial and less doldrum repetitive,

For those that can’t remember crap - JQC just said - the sets will sell fast, enough said..,

Cali - don’t go running with the baton writing a diatribe on sets now, we don’t need more ass wipe’n out here - what is said, is said.

I was even cheaper. I rode the Staten Island Ferry past the Statue of Liberty to get a photo pass by (both coming and going). I also free parking in Staten Island, but a $7 bridge toll to get there.
I have the subscription to the uncirculated set and the proof sets to get a 2026 Half. Maybe I should fork out the $5 and get one now.

How about we make the Flying Eagle an FS-403/Snow-7 clash with a Double Eagle:

Dat yours? Bam! Double Die Cent in Gold - gotch ya - yeah buddy. The last year of the Wheat Cent in a strong Double Die - Nice! Never knew it existed. Rivals the 1955 Double Die for sure. Thanks for putting up that great pic. Cool coin for sure.

These arrived today - a couple of 2026 Ds. These were from a bank wrapped roll and purchased individually from a seller on eBay for $5 each. Since I'm an avid half dollar collector, I just wanted to put an eyeball to one of these and get a feel for it. Mainly to gage the depth of the relief and what-not. The design has some relief to it, but not a whole lot. Not like the newer Kennedy Half Dollars did. Liberty's cheek will most likely be a scratch and dig catcher. So, I wouldn't buy these in bags. The design is actually pretty nice, as it reminds me of an American Platinum Eagle. I think it will make for a very nice coin in proof silver and could compete with the ASE. Also, the design brings back childhood memories of Staten Island, when you could actually stand in the torch and look Liberty directly in the cheek. The torch is now closed to the public these days. So, this may be the only close-up view most of us will ever get of Liberty's cheek.

From the cheap seats!
