I predict that this will be a hot offering, and the mintage will be around 275k.., and will go CU within 25 hours of its release….

I also predict that the USM release an AMAZING Enhanced Uncirculated AGE that will look spectacular in hand.., and that Craig will get shut out - many of us will secretly laugh about it, and he will come on here crying like a little girl, and then say how Fugly it is, and he didn’t want it anyway..,

In reply to REB.

Nice on the diligence @REB. I think I may have had the opposite problem. The day that the 2025 Liberty Gold was supposed to deliver I went home from work to wait for it (the postman for these signature delivery seems to be quite regular in terms of timing) I checked that it had not been delivered when I got home. I waited and then it show as "recipient unavailable to sign" I heard no knock on the door. I had no notice. It almost seemed like no deliver attempt was made. I went to the post office to pick it up the next day. I got the notice in my mail box a day or two later. I gave the postman the benefit of the doubt and assume he got there before I got home and only did the status update later...forgetting to leave the notice.

To be published tomorrow in the Federal Register. I wonder if this is in regards to the possible 2026 $2.50 gold coin, which as mentioned by REB(?), does not need congressional approval.

“Notice is hereby given of an addition to the agenda for the public meeting of the Citizens
Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) scheduled for February 24, 2026, which was published in the Federal Register on February 6, 2026, 91 FR 5555 Doc 2026-02310. The meeting agenda is amended to add the following subject: review and discussion of a Semiquincentennial Gold Coin.”

Yeah, good case in point were the 2025 pennies ... 'supposedly' the mint was going to cut back on the mintage of those earlier on in the year .... instead of much later, which is why a lot of earlier investors got burned on those.

As they should be ... but then, I suppose it's no big surprise, considering how much the mint luves to take advantage of current silver prices as much as possible so they can milk loyal customers whenever they can!
