Thanks Rich! Thanks for the list.

Other than the "dust" on my Marine, it's still very nice, and congrats on scoring two beauties. I like to send a coin in to be graded if there is value enhancement potential on top a perceived scarcity, such as this ASE. I'll skip the TPG on this guy, and hang onto it for a while.
I hope the Congrats Proof stays limited to the set. Throw the Bone!

Rick,

Thanks for revisiting the 2025-P ASE USMC Privy Proof quality control issues and sales figures, which appear to have distinguished the Marine ASE Proof as the 4th lowest mintage ASE proof at ~ 91,000 units, 1986 - 2025.

After seeing the debris/frost strikethrough on your coin, I reexamined the two coins I received. Both coins have no quality problems and are probably near-PR70 (guess I got lucky).

This year, I look forward to the 2026 Congratulations Set release and the 2026-P ASE Proof with a mintage ~ 60,000, hopefully earning it the #3 spot of the top-5 lowest mintage ASE Proofs, 1986 - 2026:

2019-S Enhanced Reverse Proof = 29,913
1995-W Proof = 30,102
2026-P Proof ~ 60,000 (TBD)
2020-W v75 Privy Proof = 74,709
2025-P USMC Privy Proof ~ 91,000 (TBD)

It’s the 250 Anniversary and they should do MTD so every American that wants it can buy one.
But we see that the subscriptions are sold out, so I assume they will do mintages close to last year.

I think you misinterpreted that Latin, RF. It actually says I have more than enough cash on hand to buy all of these. Do you think with Au spot being what it is, that we’ll have a difficult time actually getting these processed in our carts? The 2021 Type 2 AGE sets sold out in minutes at $5050 and everyone still remembers what happened with the FH Au coin (right JQC). I’m not going to be surprised if they sell as quickly.

Is there any info out there regarding the number of clad, silver, and unc sets they are proposing to make this year?

I’d buy that one for artistic appreciation, not monetary appreciation. Definitely a fine work of art! (IMO)

We should all remember the difference between a hobby and an investment! Also, the difference between monetary appreciation and artistic appreciation….
