It is sad for them to do this. Historically the Mint always had affordable options. In the long-run this is a mistake.

I would love to read how you calculated these predictions. Extra credit for any astrology-related aspects of the calculation.

But the cabbage to silver ratio clearly shows a rising Aquarius in a classic “head-and-shoulders” configuration.

Too bad the B-schools do not teach brilliant analytical tools such as the gold:silver ratio, or proper horoscope analysis. Obviously the patriarchy does not want you to know!

I wonder if the U.S. Mint will reduce the price of the silver products like the American Silver Eagles since the price of silver has dropped dramatically.

I sent an email asking but haven’t received any responses after over a week, now do I expect any responses.

Agree. “Investment” is the wrong word for any US Mint set. Collectors should only buy the set with the understanding they won’t get their money out of it. People blow more money on other non coin garbage so really, to each his own. For the first time I purchased the US Mint coin sets this past year and have done well with them. Dumb luck is the reason. The difference between 1976 Bicentenial coin sets and now is the number of sets will be greatly reduced. Which may work in the purchasers favor…or not. Who knows at this point. If you don’t like the game being played by the mint then get out. If you can tolerate it as a collector then suck it up and pay. It is what it is and the days of old are not coming back.
