The presumed value for DC follies in the long run will be that of 1st Spouse, spot related, little collector premium. They sell a few of the mega load expected. I also received a coin via FedEx today. Not of gold, but of silver, yet older by a few years - and much cheaper! An 1880-CC $1 coin, raw ungraded but in the GSA protective case.
One of the things that keeps me "hobby engaged" with these silver dollars is to seek out decent coins that may have a shot over at the TPG for a Gem or better grade(MS65 & up), or a special Die Pair(VAM) to add value. Win some-lose some game.. So far after inspection, it's a VAM-8(no added value), but I think it has a shot at getting a 65 grade. We'll see.....

REB, My sentiment is the same as the others - congrats on receiving your "<span>1909-O half eagle is the final gold coin produced at the New Orleans mint. It is the only Indian Head half eagle to be struck at this mint."</span> - DW. Also yes, bummer on the MM, however it is an expected trait, as mentioned. I recall your 1909-O as being properly graded, and has plenty of eye appeal!

@CaliSkier, I still worried about the SF Mint. I keep on seeing product by product discontinued at the San Francisco Mint or leaving for other mints. There was a lot of talk there earlier this year. I hope the things I'm seeing are not signs. Otherwise @REB will need something else for his last of the mint collection. My question is has the last SF one already been struck?

In reply to <a href="https://www.coinnews.net/2025/11/25/perth-mint-2026-coins-in-december/#comment-571436">VinnieC</a>.

VinnieC, there are continual mixed signals and oversights regularly missed, updated, not updated etc, regarding various USM products. Although, those of us that are continually and regularly pouring over U.S Mint data are aware of how subscriptions work,, I’m not sure the Mint does?

Although part of the page for the Morgan Dollar Proof subscription has current information, it has been at least 2 years since they elected or chose to actually proof read and update what they publish.

The page on one hand, says: “Next Product in Subscription:
Morgan Silver Dollar 2026 Proof Coin Ships 2026”. Yet, in the Description portion of information, it reads: “Your subscription will begin with the 2024 Morgan Silver Dollar Proof Coin.”. Which is it?

I, you, we, know the answer, however, what about those, unseasoned customers, or those completely new to U.S. Mint shenanigans? I wonder how many subscriptions they don’t sell, due to the confusion caused by this conflicting information. What if you’re relatively new to the Mint and had already purchased 2024 and 2025 Morgan Proof $1’s and don’t want another 2024 & 2025 item shipped to you? One part says the 2026 PF ships in 2026 and another states that your subscription “ will begin with the 2024 Morgan Silver Dollar”. Perhaps it’s just me that is confused and if you sign up for a Morgan Silver $1 proof subscription, the first coin you will actually receive is the 2024? “Beuller, Bueller, anyone?” Hmm, Ponder? Just saying…. PS Great catch btw, on the 2026 Morgan Proof(RP) P vs S Mint proof production! What is going on at or inside the U.S. Mint?

<span>Sorry about you mint mark. The PCGS page for the 1909-O Indian Half Eagle has a few comments. Several mention the Weak O. Doug Winter says the common variety has the Weak O and slight doubling on the left side. Variety 2 which is less common has a sharply punched O and no doubling. </span>

I'm currently wondering about the last coin from the San Francisco Mint. The Proof S ASE is discontinued. 26XF (Proof Morgan) and 26XL (Proof Peace) have Philly listed as their mint location. The 26RG, 26RH, and 26GC don't have a mint location listed yet.

Mr. Goldfinger, Congratulations on completing your N.O. Mint series! Regardless of a weak O mark on your 1909, I'll bet it is an impressive collection that few will ever possess!
