I have a bunch of wheat cents, in circulated condition, and while their value has increased a bit, I’m not going to get rich off them. Depending on the condition of your 1946’s they can sell from $5.00 – over $100.00 each…just depends on condition, condition,condition. Unique? No, scarce, yes. 232 sets isn’t very many sets, not to mention the Gold Cent at 232 pcs…
There’s not much Au in them – the same can be said with the other Omega Cents – not much Cu in them. Too bad they’re not 95% Cu?
I think it’s more about the symbolism as opposed to the amount of PM’s here. Therefore imo the sets will enjoy multiples of a $10k hammer price – especially the #232 set, which will include the cancelled dies as a bonus. Sound familiar? ⇊
