If you're going to install that bad-boy in your album, an E1 'flash-dip' would suit that coin nicely. It would clean up the mild rim tone and the haze tone on the northern hemisphere? One must weigh the costs associated with grading vs an intact album full of Gem Coins and it's potential value. CAC will call out hairlines on proofs and penalize, but from what I can tell, most of the lines on that image are abrasions on the slab?
Nice coin E1. CACG grades coins in VA, while CAC stickers coins in NJ. No Conservation services are listed on their website - for now...

Rick,

1952 Proof Franklin In the House:

A reasonably strong cameo. Not bad.

Quick question. Does CAC offer conservation services?

I think in the end, these (my Proof Franklins) will go to the graders, as a slab would be a much better place for silver proofs in the long run.

Cheers

That is pretty funny Rich! I assumed the WW was somehow tied to Wonder Woman and the Comic Art coins. Upon further research I guess it has to do with WWE/World Wrestling Entertainment, formerly the WWF/World Wrestling Federation. What comes to mind, Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Andre the Giant, Randy Macho Man Savage, King Kong Bundy, Big John Stud, The Iron Sheik, Jimmy Super Fly Snuka, Jesse the Body Ventura, Nature Boy Ric Flair, Nikolai Volkov, Junkyard Dog, Sergeant Slaughter, Kamala the Ugandan Giant, and of course “The American Dream”’ Dusty Rhodes, etc, etc, etc! LOL

Retail Market for the 2025 Rev Proof Palladium Eagle are presently significant. Possibly worth the price: exception design and very precious metal

Rich, appreciate the heads up and I missed the e-mail. Definitely some similarities and also the “Peace” dollar meets lady liberty, comes to mind with rays of sunshine behind her head. Not a fan of the lightning bolts between the rays of sunshine however, as the first thing that popped into my brain were “lightning bolts” and the “SS” from WWII Germany. Just saying…. I didn’t see any e-mail pertaining to Wonder Woman though…

My computer conked out mid-post; so, I'll try again.

I've seen mint buildings in Philadelphia (the current one), New Orleans, San Francisco (the Granite Lady), Dahlonega (the site of the 1878 building and the museum), and Charlotte (the moved building). Still on my numismatic bucket list are Denver, West Point, and Carson City.

I remember the historical video that played at the Granite Lady back in the 1990s. Husky-voiced actress, Mercedes MaCambridge, exclaimed that the Granite Lady was RAVAGED! by the 1906 earthquake but still stood when the shaking was over. I also recall the display of S-marked gold coins. Of particular interest was the octagonal $50 coin. I thought, "one day I'd like to own that coin". That thought seems less far-fetched today.

Yeah, I hear ya.., the only Acting Director signature I want to see is her resignation signature.., shouldn’t be long now,

- Perhaps Cali can ask her why it’s never occurred to her to pen an email to those that have ‘invested’ in the 25DSG thanking us for our patience, and being patrons of the USM - common sense customer relations 101,

Platinum - yeah, the real winner for 2025.. of which I did not participate; In 2026 I’d prefer the USM just axe the APdE and offer Pd BU again.., in sufficient quantity for it to be around for a least a few days,

APdE ‘25 - long term winner, IDK? Pd ‘24 was still around when folks were chasing the new low Pd ‘25; Chasing the next new low, over the past 15 years, hasn’t worked out that well, albeit there’s some exceptions, I think that’s what Cag’s point is when he’s referencing past secondary market winners, those were the releases that were 1) quickly bought out by strong hands (‘16 Merc, others), 2) not bought/chased by momentum buyers (that otherwise wouldn’t have bought (Sunflower), or 3) under appreciated designs that went ‘poof’ e.g. Bronco, L&B - that’s my understanding, as well observations over the years.., Things take time…

Anyhoo.., to quote Ak, Good Luck All! And another gentlemen from back in the MNB days.. “Good Luck All.., We’re Gonna Need It!” :).
