The reason why I bought the 3 rolls. Also have the four year’s silver proof sets. The series may one day be forgotten but I feel I have a piece of history. I feel the San Francisco circulated Maya Angelou quarters will be a key in the series.

Great observational comparison of the quality of the proof strike on the reverses of the 2025-W ASE Proof versus the 2025-S Navy ASE Proof. I did a similar side-by-side comparison of all five 2025 ASE Proofs and found the same results: the 2025-W ASE, 2025-W Army ASE and 2025-W Laser ASE proofs all have a noticeably sharper, more detailed strike, and the 2025-S ASE and 2025-S Navy ASE proofs have a weaker, flatter (less detailed) strike. The Laser Engraved ASE had the best proof strike of all. The 2025 West Point Mint ASE proof strikes appear to be better than the 2025 San Francisco Mint ASE proof strikes, based on this limited, subjective survey.

I received my ASE Navy today. Beautiful. However, when I ordered it, I also ordered a 2025 ASE W, as I didn’t have one and thought I should get one before they raise the price. Anyway, obverse strike on both look the same. However, on the reverse, the Navy ASE has a much weaker strike when comparing side by side to the W. The eagle’s feathers were flat and not as detailed as the West Point version. Not that I will send it back. Just noticing. Even Mrs. Guru who has no coin knowledge at all other than “it’s a shiny object” could see the difference when pointed out.

Yes, I’ve grabbed a few taken out of silver proof set(which is also unavailable from Mint)…don’t need OGP…was not as popular as series as predicted…as you say, would would ppay $90 for 5 coins? Oh well onto the next failed quarter program starting in 3027!

@Foxman69. I’ve seen the 2025-S proof silver quarter set bottom out at about $55 or $60 on E-Bay without the box and without the COA. I think they sold the half dollar and penny separately. A month ago someone was selling them for $50. I got mine just recently for $60 and it didn’t appear to have the toning problem (but that may be by the luck of the draw).
