Just saw this from Scripps News, October 3, 2025:

Trump $1 coin proposed for America’s 250th anniversary
U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach shared designs for a potential $1 coin featuring President Donald Trump, timed to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Beach said additional details would be released “soon,” once the federal government shutdown ends.
Congress previously authorized the U.S. Mint to issue new $1 coins “with designs emblematic of the United States Semiquincentennial.” If produced, Trump would be the first living president to appear on a $1 coin.

Good morning coin fans. Today the Mint has finally created a separate item number for the ABPP 2025 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set(25RCAB). The “ats” for new item number 25RCAB is currently at 0. The current “ats” for 25RC is 24,997, which will eventually be adjusted downward, once subscriptions and ABPP numbers are accounted for. As suspected, the ABPP were allotted 10% of the declared maximum “Product Limit”(25,008) or 2,501. Their order window begins 10/24, ends 10/28 by 3 pm and p/u is on 10/30. Whatever inventory is left after “Subscriptions” are fulfilled and the ABPP members take their slice, will then be released on Nov 6. There are currently(9:45) 2,490 “Subscriptions” available.

If you missed out on the 2025 Silver Proof Sets that were pulled from sales early, due to defective and yellow toned coins, while there was still product available, this is your last chance to obtain silver examples of the last Kennedy Half with the current design. The set also appears to be the end of the Limited Edition Silver Proof Set’s which were first issued in 2012. The set contains what looks to be the last(?) proof S minted American Silver Eagle(ASE) as well and the last of the American Women’s Quarter Series. This will be the lowest mintage LESPS in the series. All other sets issued from 2012-2024 had a low/high mintage range from 41,609(2014) - 49,995(2020)

By the way, the 2025 Silver Proof Set can be found at Littleton Coin for $250. Otherwise you’re currently looking at roughly $300-$350+ on the secondary market for one of the possible prematurely toned 2025 Silver Proof sets, that was originally priced at $150. The sets were being dumped(?) in August for $160-$190. September saw the range jump to $250-$280+. Interesting that people don’t realize the 2025 LESPS, minus the cent, nickel and Sacagawea $1, with the addition of the S ASE can be had(subscription) for $255?

As a whole, the Limited Edition Silver Proof Sets have typically underperformed or sold for less than original purchase price on the secondary market. This years edition, being the last and limited to half as many, in conjunction with a very limited amount of 2025 Silver Proof Sets(LKS 113,890), may see these actually appreciating nicely and hold value? Time will tell…
