Go Reb and Rick bid it up… my guess still in play w daze to go.
I cou0d have bought the Lost In Space Chariot back at a truck auction In 1978 but it had been cannibalized, with 5he domed roof access and steering columns there but no radar equipment nor laser rifles….

The movement on #3 was me. I put in a placeholder bid, as Rick would say. I kind of agreed with Cali's assessment that it is the second-best coin after #6. My strategy is to play early. If you're waiting for #6 or #7, it's probably already over. I just wish #2 was the last coin.

I concur with your thoughts about the pictures. It would be nice to see them in person, but a trip to California in the next couple of days isn't in the cards for me. It's gotta be best guess and bid on the built-in rarity value.

Darth Vader's lightsaber went for $3.6M. It doesn't even work (and doesn't come with the blade attachment that simulates a working lightsaber). Maybe coins isn't where the money is.

It looks like there are some movement on 1003 and 1008.

I've been looking at the pictures and its been driving me nuts. In the dark field pictures I can't tell if I'm seeing toning or discoloration in the mirrored field or if the lighting is reflecting off of the edge of the coin or something else. When I tried taking pictures of my laser privy, I was getting reflections all over the place and it would change as I adjusted the lighting.

BTW good Luck @REB

Put a placeholder bid to feel things out, no biggie. Compete later.
Someone else who wants it bad enough will chase your proxy bid down.
They're pretty easy going with getting your bid limit increased, especially since you have a good track record with them. More money for them in the end. However, your limit is your limit, and bid fever needs to be tempered. If I really want something, I'll go nuclear and shred the price guides, but even then, I sometimes loose (and sometimes glad I lost lol).
There is no price guide with these, other than SBG's 7 figure estimate.
I think the coins will go beyond your estimated hammer prediction, but I could be wrong. We'll see!?

Yeah, maybe the real internet action will happen Friday morning before live bidding starts. I'm considering my strategy. I've got a limit with Stack's Bowers and don't want to max out in the middle of a bid increment. I suppose I could ask for a higher limit, but I'm not sure I want to pay more than what I currently have. I'm torn between bidding my max and being done with it or waiting for Friday. Possibly, if I wait, I might get a better deal, or I may be out by the noon start time.

To bid early or not to bid early? THAT is the question.
