I feel that a different design needed to be created, rather than use a design that had been used before. I get it that there will be a different date and a privy mark. Maybe the reverse will be different. I remain curious and hopeful that these repeats will properly give tribute to 250 years since the creation of our nation.

John i agree that the Denver mint Morgans are the most valuable because they haven’t grade as good. I got 3 and submitted to PCGS 2 came back 70, 1 69. . I also have 2 of each of the 2016 gold that they are going to release in 2026. I hope they will be proof finish since the 2016 were business strikes or burnished finish.

A set would be unfortunate in my mind… I guess I don’t value medals the way they should be but I pretty much only collect coins with tangibly assigned values. As an aside I recently learned about milk spotting and likely won’t be buying proof sets because of that. USM Pre 1933 gold and 1964 silver may be the way to go for me moving forwards as I can’t rationalize spending a premium for high finish coins just for them to degrade before my eyes.

Rich, this is just a silly little “mistake”? No biggie, collectors aren’t concerned with mintages. Said, no one ever!

Thanks @Rich. Maybe It was 2020 that I was remembering. That and the gold designer edition set. I should do a screenshoot and date the product, mintage and household limit every time I look.
