Yes, he’s got some killer inventory, and much of it super overpriced.
I think he’s the QA Sticker guy for Modern coins as well. Half of my top pop Kennedy’s have his QA sticker, and I’ll bet that I bought at least one of mine from him indirectly, just a hunch.
Kudos to he and Richie for obtaining two VIP-D Sac $1 coins and getting them slabbed by PCGS = win.

It seems that another slabber at the time – SEGS had authenticated several for this one guy, maybe more people too, but PCGS wouldn’t touch them.
Now, PCGS seems to have warmed up to this “variety”.

With only 120 known to exist, he claims “The Rarest US Coin Ever Made.” It might be the rarest of all Sacagawea’s.

# 12 – 2000 P Sacagawea Dollar Cheerios Version: 5,500 known to exist.

#40 – 2000 D Sacagawea Dollar Millennium Variety: 75,500 known to exist.

In addition to the Redbook, how come the coin is not in the 100 Greatest US Modern Coins Book? An obvious candidate and a coin I never knew even existed. Also, $12,500 seems a little low for a coin of this rarity and its published origin. Also, it might be an easy one to counterfeit. No mint cert, no slab – I would think.

Yes, it’s very Proof-Like, and as stated in the book they were polished/the dies were polished.
To be clear in reference to “snake oil”: Yes, it was a special “First Strike” Mint event with a special coin – great. I was more perturbed with the PCGS Doctored, Cartoonish TrueView photo more than anything.
It seems that our friend Richie(who made the video you posted above) knows a dealer who had at least two, sent them to PCGS and sold one to Richie for a good deal. Both coins were submitted together, since the cert # are consecutive.
Richie doesn’t want to reveal what the original OGP looked like, and is puzzling to me – Nothing special about it IMO. Maybe Richie can clear that up?
Where’s the other SP68 VIP-D coin? And just who is this Dealer friend of Richie?…⇊…

It does not look like a typical cameo proof coin, as the devices are not frosted. Additionally, it does not look like a typical business strike coin either, as everything is 100% proof like. JMHO, but the coin looks special. As for the Redbook, since we know the authors, someone should send Jeff or John an email. I think Cali is knowledgeable on the Goodacre Specimens. He might know more. Interesting coin. Sounds like there could be more out there. $12,500 Price Guide – Yikes!

E1, Why would this coin not be in a Red Book?

PCGS has graded just two of the VIP-D SAC’s and gave them an SP designation, along with a highly manipulated TrueView photo using a form of axial lighting.
These VIP coins were part of a promotional “striking ceremony” and came in a special clamshell, with a COA authenticating the event. No mention of a special finish or special composition is on the COA.
This looks to be a USM gimmick version of “First Strike”, and a fantastic representation of 100% Snake Oil(opinion)…
