In reply to Craig. Too funny Craig! As Rick previously noted, sometimes coins sell below or above PCGS pricing, it just depends what the market will bear on any given coin at any given time? PCGS placed a value of $5,500 on that coin, in that grade. Speaking of smoking out, there is also another toner for sale up on Collectors Corner for a whopping $14,950! The obverse brings to mind, Violet Beauregarde. “Violet, you’re turning violet”! PS Actress Denise Nickerson(Violet) passed away at age 62 in Aurora CO in 2019. Not to far away from where you’re at Rick.

Sales continue to trickle out the door. A little over 300, 2025. ASE w/Army Privy available. As Rick noted, today they should sell out. Definitely by sometime tomorrow at the latest. Pinehurst offering a $195 bounty. You’ll need to cover the cost of shipping to them, plus insurance, gas money and time invested to go to the post office. So around $175+\-. About the same on eBay if selling for $229, after 15% E fees shipping, etc. Graded 70’s are still selling for $369-$450+/-, depending on flavor of label.

Double and triple dies on those 1964 Ds. Check, Check, Check! These are so overlooked and under considered today. PUP – “Trust” on the obverse looks mashed – but it is doubled or tripled. I think there have been a few “Quad Dies” too. Give it 10 or 20 years and it may be a completely different game.
