The problem with the comic art coins is that hey would be more appealing or more authentic if they featured the actors who have portrayed the characters, rather than the comic book art versions.

Ask Copilot...."Find Rick Springfield's coin collection."

"There’s no public record of Rick Springfield—the musician and actor—owning a coin collection."

I agree with all of you, in that I’m not a fan of these medals or coins. I also agree that the airplane should have been a prop vs jet plane. I still really do not like the placement or size of Joseph Menna’s or Joseph V Noorigian’s initials. Interesting that JVN moved his initials which are huge, from the field to the fence on the gold reverse. These artist, designer, engraver initials should not stick out or detract from a coin or medals design, like a thumb that just got smashed by a sledge hammer IMO. Just too vain and a big turn off for me. So based on those details; as well as price, I’m out, do not see a big demand for any of these and also feel the mintages are too high. It may not seem like a big difference, however the gold should have been 7,500-9,000 max and not more than 15,000 2 1/2 silver medals. They also should have placed a max of 35,000-50,000 on the 1oz silver version. Lastly, since they will gouge customers price wise on whatever clads they produce, those should have a mintage/product limit of no more than 75K IMO. I imagine that the clad medals will get some kind of unrealistic commemorative coin mintage/product limit number of 125-250K. Buy what you like and do not expect these to carry much if any secondary market demand. You should be able to buy for less than original price on the secondary market over the next 1-3 years IMO, from anyone that thought that these would be in big demand and bought more than they should have.
