Sounds like you have a number of great autos there. Authenticated autographs are another rabbit hole that I fell into a long time ago. My only advice, make sure they are authenticated by PSA, JSA, or Beckett before buying. Much like ball cards, avoid creases, bad corners, stains, scratches etc… and store them in a top loader. Some famous people like to sign and others don’t. Also, beware of the autopen. Finally, US presidents and any of the Apollo 11 crew are the top ones.

Tom it’s definitely the design that makes a difference! This years American Innovation Proof set is a winner and the only one I’ll probably own? Although I am contemplating picking up 2022 which contains the RI Reliance yacht, VT snowboarder and KY banjo designs. This years 2025 AI PR set will only have a maximum of 65,000 and stands a chance IMO of obtaining a sell out in less than a month possibly?

John Q, what a horrific event a couple years before I was born. I just read about the cause or speculation surrounding it on the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum website. “The Tragic Day on Pad 34“ The review board portion relays: “An electrical arc from frayed wires likely sparked the conflagration, which had burned hotter than 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit as it consumed what investigators would determine was an excess of flammable materials.” “It seemed as if the drive to win the space race had created a culture of recklessness and what space historian Andrew Chaikin later identified as “perceptual blindness” to design flaws. NASA, for instance, had rejected recommendations for a mixed atmosphere inside the capsule, deciding that pure oxygen would be lighter and easier to maintain. To save labor costs, wires were bundled by machine. Astronauts had noticed some of the wires were frayed.”

I’m not a fan of cutting corners and have always felt that it’s worth going the distance in order to achieve results of the highest standard possible. Nothings perfect, however it doesn’t mean one should strive for mediocrity IMO.

Thanks Maestro/DJ Easy E1! For some reason that poster reminds me of the ole’ MTV days? Did you pick yourself up an autographed poster? Interesting that it’s mandatory that they have to be signed? I know you’re an autograph man! I don’t have many, however I do have a baseball signed by former Giants manager Dusty Baker and the late Ron Perranoski(coach) and Rod Beck(relief pitcher. Also have a 50/50 Jersey of the Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche, signed by Ray Borque! Lastly a Willie McCovey autograph and an assortment of Raiders from 1980 or 1981.
