The mint keeps raising the prices – because they can, this makes it harder to collect.
They have become a for profit business and the website on lower mintage coins is not fun anymore.

I just read the article. I might quibble with the author on one point. I believe the museum in the old courthouse has one of EVERY coin minted in Dahlonega, including ALL of the dollars. As I recall, they were not slabbed or graded, but I think they were all there. As memory serves, the coins were displayed in front of a safe but behind glass. There was an armed guard present.
