Cool trip, Sam.

One day on my trip to England, I stayed in a house in the tiny town of Fyfield. I believe the house dated from the 1500s and it had a moat. I was told by the owners that the house and surrounding property had been granted by the king to the original owners.

The trip included a tour of my college's glee club. We sang in the tiny church in Fyfield as well as the Canterbury Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. Talk about amazing acoustics! And talk about reverb! A sustained final note would bank around those high ceilings for 15 to 20 seconds. It was mind-boggling.

REB,

I have family roots in Britain, so in 2006, my wife & I went to visit for a couple of weeks. We ran across the same issue with the age of everything compared to the US. The old family house was built in the late 1400's, so the local historical board wanted the "new addition" of bay windows (added about 1875) removed. Here, we call Victorian era "old".

We visited a Roman-era fort in Scotland (Birdoswald) that used a 15th century manor house as its visitor center. After all, it was newer than the 1800-year-old Roman ruins! I actually have a couple of sestertii minted by Hadrian, who built that wall in Scotland. In what's now this country, the only humans living here at that time were Native Americans - no White, Black or any other Euro/Afro/Asian types.

Then, of course, there's Stonehenge, which was an ancient ruin of forgotten provenance by the time of Thermopylae, scene of the 300 Spartans...it's older than the Pyramids in Egypt! Holy Cow!

Could the Gold:Silver ratio ~ 100:1 prevailing over the last 30 days possibly be a signal for a significant rally in the silver price in the coming years (2025-2028)?
