Cali, you may be correct about the Mint possibly shrinkflating the Silver quarters (by about 0.005 troy oz) when they moved to Troy ounces from grams in 2022 for the first American Women Silver Proof Quarters. For all four of the 2022 - 2025 American Women Quarters Silver Proof Sets, the Mint specifications only stated the quarter silver weight to be 0.199 troy oz. I wonder why then CoinNews kept listing the weight as 6.343 grams for the 2024 set, and now as 6.343 grams (each at 0.199 troy oz.) for the final 2025 set, instead of just using the Mint's original specified weight?

Maybe there's a few castoff crooks from back then? It was the housing bubble, supported by the predatory lending jerks who would give a high risk loan to your dog if possible, to the lender collapses' & bailouts soon after.
This go around is nothing but a Selfish, Spoiled, Wall St Tantrum, looking to punish fair trade. Stay tuned, America will win, and soon.

Reb in the previous thread, you said: “But, perhaps the wildest musician on the bill that day was a guy from England who shredded an otherworldly guitar while … wait for it … turning the tuning pegs! All the other musicians’ mouths were agape. The host marveled out loud, “How did he stay in tune?” I wish I had gotten this guy’s name.” Reb, you again inspired me to look for what you may have witnessed and wonder if this is something similar or maybe even the guy you mention? The linked video I originally found was titled: “Guy uses the guitar tuning pegs while playing a song” and this guy absolutely blows me away with the music and sounds he produces/makes while drumming, tapping on his guitar and also turning the pegs while playing, picking, strumming or whatever he’s doing with this guitar? Pretty rad and I’ve never seen anything like what he’s doing! Check it out and let me know what you think and if this is similar to what you witnessed. Jon Gomm- “Passionflower” on YTube. I’m thinking this is the same guy you mention as when you google the name he’s from England. His YouTube channel is Jon Gomm. Otherworldly for sure!

shouldn't be too hard for someone with a nice accurate scale to just weigh it and figure out which weight is correct... don't the grading agencies check that?

I managed to dig up my old post from MNB on December 24, 2021. I said: “Larry says: “ Both sets have 5 99.9% silver quarters, so the silver weight must be the same. Right?”
No Larry, that is not correct.
The 2020 set was “ Silver content – 1.12 oz. (31.72 g)”, which is “Not the same” as the 2022 iwhich will consist of “ Five-coin set includes a total of 0.995 troy oz. of 99.9 percent fine silver””
31.72 grams in relation to the overall weight of 2020 S Ag $.25 PF set, is slightly MORE than 1 Troy oz.
Using the internets accepted weight of 1 Troy ounce equal to 31.103 gms, the 2022 set is only .995 Troy oz’s. This is equivalent to 30.947485 gms. Each quarter in the 2022 set will be 6.189 gms.
Whereas the 2020 set came in at slightly MORE than 1 Troy ounce weighing 31.72 grams. Each quarter weighed in at 6.343 gms each.
This may not seem like much, however the price will be the same or possibly more, for less.
2020 S Silver quarters weigh 6.343 gms each and with what the Mint has published, your 2022 Silver will be a smaller size at 6.189 gms per quarter. Hence the “Fun Size(Mars)” reference!
Translation 6.343 does not equal 6.189. A difference of .154 gms per quarter.
Additionally these new silver quarters will be 1 of 2 things? Either a thinner quarter or narrower diameter? This will be interesting on how they rework the dies to accommodated LESS metal? Or heaven forbid, shallow engravings or low relief would also be another way to complete the task, using less metal?
If nothing is done then the strikes will suck due to strike through or other issues due to less metal to flow and or less thickness to protect the image on one side or the other???
Don’t forget, this will also affect the annual S Silver PF set as well as the Limited edition a silver PF Sets.
So 50,000 (LEPS) + another 50-100K (.25 PF sets) + 300K ((Ag PF Sets) equals over 400,000 units.
That equates to just over 1,980 Troy ounces, unless my math is off? Almost 4 entire Monster boxes of silver!
For comparison the Commemorative silver dollars and the 2021/2022 Morgan and Peace dollars only contain .85 of a Troy ounce and weigh in at a measley26.43755 gms each.
You could strike 2,330 Morgan or Peace dollars with the Siver the Mint has skimmed off the US Mint customers!
That’s $198,050.00 more profit for the US Mint! At $85 per coin, of which I expect that price to go up for the PF Morgan and Peace dollars?
Homerun, yay!
Or they can roll that pilfered silver into more skimpy quarters to put into the LEPS or AgPF Ssets?
If I’m the Mint I roll the dice with the customer/house money and increase the Mintage of the LEPS to maximize the profits!
Oh well at least I won’t be bored, tracking and illuminating the US Mints continued, shafting of the core US Mint customers?
Sorry Hidalgo, the truth hurts.”
