I had not considered high-volume online dealers. My experience with online purchases has been pretty limited and restricted primarily to eBay. The Bay can frequently be a pig-in-a-poke venue. I cross my fingers anytime I go there. So far, so good. But that doesn’t mean that tomorrow’s transaction won’t turn into a nightmare.

Interesting video. Does anyone know how many coin shops there are versus 10 or 20 years ago? Has the number been stable, particularly compared to other “retro” businesses like record stores and theaters? It would seem that coin stores would be a little more resistant to online interlopers because the buyer would be able to verify the authenticity of the actual coin(s) in person.
