As in, for example changing out a worn out die to a brand new die.
A fresh new die installed, whether it be for a high end 2024 Flowing Hair Gold, or a 2024 bu 1C will sparingly & early-on produce the widely coveted Proof-Like, and Deep Mirror Proof-Like coins on an otherwise Mint State/BU coin. A new die will also, in limited quantities yield the most detailed, needle-sharp strikes on these coins, even the ‘cheap’ coins…
Q David Bowers stresses this often overlooked condition in many of his Cherry-Picking publications….

I like the presentation with the coins and their descriptions noted together. The Proofs look good.
It’s disappointing to not have matching grades I’ll admit right here. That was my hope when I decided to buy, then submit the sealed set..

The 50C half dollar on the right is disappointing in a big way. Take a look at the reverse and everyone will know why it’s a -69 grade. It’s not just a few cloud nebula or calcium dit’s floating in the night sky. And yes, all of that spittle spotting is on the coin surface, not the capsule!…

Fantastic E1, I actually understood what you were explaining. It sounded technical, but it made perfect sense to me. Recalling the anomalies within the scope image, solidified your explanation further yet.
