Not a bad photo for an Android phone lol and thanks. We like cartwheels and classics!..
Yes I believe you're correct, a storage case or two looks to be in order! Your ASE cases sent me over the edge, I'm still enjoying those..
That 1888 $1 has a little story since taking that photo, a newer thread I'll update...

Yes and yes and no...
Let's start of with the notion that an MS coin is a regular strike and/or a business strike, because those descriptions are interchangeable in the marketplace.

MS bullion ASE coins are regular/business strike coins(MS70).

PR bullion ASE coins are proof strike coins(PR70).

UNC bullion ASE coins are a special strike coin(SP70).

Same with the MS reproduction Morgan & Peace Dollars(2021-2024), they're considered business strikes also. The RP coins are proof strike coins.

The circulation quality coins that are in those annual uncirculated Mint sets, bags, and rolls are MS/regular/business strike coins. No special treatment and no difference in strike quality between any of those packaging options I'm sorry to say. The Mary Walker coin in the '24 mint set will come from the same bin as the coin that you may get at the grocery store soon... This is my opinion fyi....

I think NGC is plenty guilty of gradeflation practices, and probably the worst offender(not by much)out of the 2 bigs--in my opinion.
Two examples off the top of my head out of many top pop 'first to grade' competition with PCGS would be the 'one and only' MS69 Extra "V" coin.
Or the top pop one and only MS69 2009-D "Presidency" Lincoln Cent--not the SMS copper, the regular 'business strike' coin found in circulation and/or std sets and rolls...

Another "Rick Super Coin!" Cartwheel City I'm sure. Another eye popper. Time to buy a nice storage case with an engraved brass plaque. At the rate you're going, maybe a couple of cases.

Wow, as noted, the US Mint shipping department does not appear to have any hold ups or delays. My AWQ coin boards arrived today! Although thankful, since E1 highlighted inconsistencies in manufacturing, I’ll just say I’m still a little surprised by how consistently, inconsistent the US Mints vendors/manufacturing is??? The 2022 coin boards say at the top “2022-2025” and the 2023 and 2024 have just “2023” and “2024” at the top? Also, the other thing that struck me as odd, was, when stacked together and viewing from the side, the color of white or essentially, the cardboard or color is different? Not a big deal, just an observation. The 2022-2025/2022 and 2023 are more of an egg shell/cream white and the 2024 is more of a cool/snow white with that slight bluish tint or hue? Again I’m not complaining, they were Free, more of an observation than anything. This does have me wondering though, what will the 2025 AWQ Coin Boards look like? Will they say 2025 or 2022-2025 and will the cardboard be cream/cool white or a different iteration altogether? Ponder… Lastly, wondering if one does fill these coin boards, how easy or difficult it would be to remove or replace any of the quarters, without damaging the coin board? Yeah, they were free, however I was thinking, it would nice to be able to remove with out ending up with a tattered coin board IMO. Overall, though,
Id say this is a pretty cool “freebie”! Now, if I could only obtain an example of each of the American Women’s Quarter’s from circulation, in order to actually fill one of these coin boards? That is proving to be a pretty tough or tall order and you’d think that wouldn’t be an issue living in Colorado? Anyhow, Happy collecting to all!

Rick, I wanted a picture, however I’m unable to copy pics off eBay. I’ve also typically avoided posting EBay links,
As they appear abnormally long IMO. However her is a link to the first one I saw earlier today which also had the cleanest picture. I did get a little amused, in that the pages I listed before are no longer accurate as some product listings have either gone away or been added, but I did find the one that brought attention to, and that if initially compared to E1’s example. Have fun!

In reply to <a href="https://www.coinnews.net/2024/08/22/2024-ornaments-showcase-u-s-quarters-honoring-women/#comment-541211">E 1</a>.

E1, thanks for relaying your mass manufacturing experience around the globe! Initially, I did have a glimpse of, “I wonder” regarding whether there might be some fishy business happening, but felt that the holders themselves were identical and just the label, “struck” me as “off slightly”. As I’d pondered a bit more, I concluded that these coins would be tough to counterfeit and not worth the time, trouble money, or risk to attempt to “knock off”.
So I’d concluded the same, in that the coin and holder were indeed legit, as you’ve also concluded, based on your knowledge and vast experience w/in the realm of graded coins. I just found that label to be a little bit off
when comparing to other examples and wondered if you or others had happened to notice similar discrepancies within your slabbed collections?
With the holders probably being injection molded(?) in theory, those should end up being, more or less identical. Labels are a whole different animal, as the roll(?) of labels could potentially vary ever so slightly, in weight/thickness, edge perforations, printer performance or upkeep,
are just a few variables that could lead to slight variations in label inconsistencies IMO. Thanks for the feedback! PS I know that its more or less, small potatoes, just a little
something I’d noticed and was curious your take on the topic. Thx again!
