Thx Craig! I think your right about the price on those RP Buffalos! I too love that coin. I’ll be purchasing one of them most likely in the future. I now wish I still had them, obviously, lol! My wife gets the credit for coming up with Dogters for our female dogs. I liked the Dachsons you are calling them now too if you do!! I have been miffed a few times with the Mint but that back in ‘13 they had me more than miffed. Fortunately, I have a good heart in more ways than none! Glad to see you making comments here.

You need to learn how to control your anger, especially dealing with the mint. They are a government entity after all and you don’t want to give yourself a heart attack over them…Lol. Sorry to hear you returned those 5 RP Buffaloes as mine are some of my favourite gold coins in my safe. If I remember correctly, they were $1640 each, that’ll buy you a 1/2 oz AGE these days. BTW, I liked your ‘dogster’ word used in another post for your dog daughters. I guess I have two dachsons in my family.

Tony@GA, I couldn’t agree more with You!!! I can’t tell you just how disappointed I am! I did NOT think (Dumb*** me) the US Mint would do that! After the ordering period ended, the Mint went to “SOLD OUT” and when that happened, I was very happy the Mint was doing the “right” thing!! I guess I was a bit optimistic in that way of thinking. Shame on me! “Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, Shame on me”!! I too feel cheated Tony!! I can’t remember exactly what happened but back in ‘13, the Rev Proof Buffalo came out and there was an ordering window, or something, I know I purchased 5 of them. Anyways, the Mint did something I didn’t like so I sold and/or sent back all 5 of them! Course now I wish I had them, lol! I was so miffed at the Mint, I went about 7-8 years without purchasing anything from the Mint, ya, that’s how miffed I was! I was done, stick a fork in the Mint!!

Rick, I also agree with you on the Lib/Brit (Gold) as to whether it’s a “hit” or a “miss”!!! So far, I’m going with, “it’s a sleeper”! I’m trying to be optimistic! I doubt it’ll be another Bronco but I thought it would have an upside faster than usual. I think I could be wrong but I’m going to stay strong and “Hope” like hell it does go up in value. Time will tell. I appreciate your honest evaluation on this coin as well. I have been thinking the same as You but my optimism is waiting, sadly!!

I still have the same opinion about medals, but I caved for the Bucking Bronco Liberty medal. I think I will do the same for the 230th Anniv. Flowing Hair medal. Who knows maybe the Perth Mint will do a boutique bullion coin version of Flowing Hair. JK 🙂

Conjuring up Ryder as a hero (vs V) reminds me of the day I came to realize Slick Willie wasn’t such a bad deal after all.
I pretty much gave up on the U.S. Mint when they consistently violated their return policy for the big boys and raised premiums beyond acceptable limits.
My mantra since has been “Bullion, baby, BULLION!!!!!”

My next question is this;
1) Will the Mint allow the CC rejects be sold to the “notify me” customers? Yes I think so…
2) Will the Mint allow the returns/rejects to then be sold to the “notify me” customers? Yes I think so…But wish that they would NOT–If they kept the returns to themselves(for whatever reason), that equates to hundreds less on the sales figures–even below 5000 pcs.(optimistically/IMO thinking on my part)…”

I’d speculate that the price reappearance does matter. Now that they’re being processed & shipped there will be cancellations from the Mint for various reasons. Then the returns/rejects will come back to the Mint. Then what? That is the question…
Pure speculation and selfishly I hope I’m wrong, but keep an eye out for the “remind me” option to buy one(Silver & Gold). You’ll pay $300 more for the Gold than in Feb. But you may get one ‘on the cheap’ lol…⚆_⚆”
