And the lower the Mintage the better for those who buy them, regardless of their initial intentions in the first place. First Spouse Gold comes to mind at the moment. True, the Spouse's are not technically a Commem, but my greater point is stated...

Rick, yes, now I remember! Funny thing is, a while back, I was getting updates/email from my EBay Seller and you weren’t always, lol! Now you’ve got your coin and I don’t!! What’s UP with that??? lol!! I’m going to email my Seller and get an update.

I thank you ALL, here for listening to my venting, whining, etc. I do feel a great deal better as here, you ALL can feel my pain!! I can’t talk to friends/family about it as I don’t want anyone to know I collect. Anyways, thank you to ALL for letting me vent and NOT ripping me for it! I’m very, very grateful!

ALL, I read that there’s a $10K reward for that nugget that was stolen at the Long Beach Show! I sure hope he gets caught! I have no use for liars, thieves and dealers (drugs NOT coins, lol)!!! I do NOT associate with those kind of critters what so ever! Over my lifetime, there’s been “opportunities” to purchase items/things for a Great Deal but I thought to myself, this is too cheap so it’s probably stolen!! I will NOT ever buy ANYTHING that’s been stolen! PERIOD!!! If we were ALL like that, 90% of things stolen wouldn’t be stolen because there’s no buyers!!

Wll, as always, Good Luck ALL!!!

AKBob,
Yes, collecting coins has no right or wrong. One can easily be totally satisfied with collecting the Women's Quarter program coins of today, to the $3 Gold Indian Princess coins of yesteryear, or both!
https://davidlawrence.com/inventory/782654
I will say that I don't think I've heard of any coin collector who doesn't care about an upside. They do. Some just don't bring it front and center very often, if at all.
I know I was, and I would guess that you too were at least in part influenced by the MNB days of old. Which consisted of a lot of flippers, collectors, & prospectors looking for that upside quick $$ flip, or to hold it for later. We used to share our Mint order#'s with excitement! For example--(Got it! mine is USM1234xxxx!!) It is very enticing to hear about a 'great score' and the like. Especially that hot Mint release or sleeper. I participated as well, and traded many 10's of thousand$ over just a few years give or take. It was fun and some $ was to be made. I still do that, but at a much, much lower level(as you do too) and more discriminate because I'm holding on to most everything now. This site still has its flippers & prospectors no doubt, but fewer today than MNB used to have imo. Today, here we have it all, as before to be fair.. Slab friendly, investing, to traditional collecting & keeping, or a combo. It's all good in my book! Your collection is Awesome if you have most all of the Silver Eagles, all of the Liberty's(and multiples!)and all of your other goodies that escape me. Thanks for sharing!
PS: I'm in the same boat with Silver dumping. Only because the price has doubled because I was prospecting years back. My 'junk' box has gotten lighter. And of course selling Ag helps because I go a tad overboard with my recent fix; Morgans, V's, & Kennedy's, and the USM..It helps to put a 'dent' in the tradeoff $$'s lol.

Don't you remember? You thought that my description of the L&B came out of a Numi article lol! My description did come about from what I had imagined/hoped that it might look like in hand. As far as upside with these? The jury is deliberating, and it may take a while?

Rick, thanks for the encouraging words! I needed that. I appreciate the others here that have commented on my adventure with PCGS. Rick, I still haven’t received my Au Lib/Brit. Did you receive yours yet? I’m getting anxious as I really want to see and hold it in my hand. I was going to start collecting the Morgan/Peace dollars but I’ve decided not to. I had the sets from 2021-Present but I’m selling them. Actually I already sold both of my First Strike and FDOI sets. I’m currently selling the rest off individually. I’m going to stick with Au coins except I’ll go for the rare/low mintage silver coins the mint releases but I’ll turn around and sell it. I’m just not into silver any longer. I love Silver but I like an “upside” to my collecting. I love collecting but along with it, I want an upside as my collection is an investment for me. There are a lot of fellow collectors that collect just for the fun and a hobby. They aren’t interested in the upside nearly as much as I am. They are collectors of coins and medals and the upside is secondary for them. If the coin goes up in value that’s great but it isn’t the number one reason for collecting. There’s nothing wrong with that as I’ve stated before, there’s really no right or wrong way to collect. I will continue my MS70 PCGS, First Strike Silver Eagle collection. I have them going back to 2002. The 2001 is a $4K coin and I’ve been having a hard time pulling the trigger on it. As you go back in years, the MS70 First Strike graded coins get pricey! A lot more pricey than I even thought. I have a really nice wooden box that has 5 drawers and it’s full. I need to get another one to start filling it up. I’ve still got a ton of silver to unload. I’m working on it tho. I need to get off my lazy tush and get more listed. I don’t have much listed right now, maybe 11 items which consists of 40+ coins. I’m very happy so far with my sales. I’ve actually made a nice profit. I invested heavily in the 2021 Morgan/Peace offerings and it’s paid off nicely. Back in 2014, I backed the truck up, I purchased 30 proof and 20 Uncirculated 1/4 oz gold coins and I also purchased 100 of each of the proof and uncirculated silver dollars. That ended up being a great purchase/gamble. I did a PreSale and they were all sold within a week and a half. I do not have any of them left other than a few silver dollars still sealed/unopened, lol! My gold purchase from the mint was $22K alone. That turned out to be really easy money. Those dayz are few and far between now a tho! I’m always on the look out for that coin that’s worth investing in. It helps pay for the coins I do collect. Being retired, coin collecting has given me something to do and it’s something I do really enjoy. The only bad thing is, you can NOT tell anyone you’re a collector. I do not show my coins to anyone, which kind of sucks!! I worry about my house getting broke into and my collectible coins are stolen. I have 4 of the large safety deposit box’s stuffed full, it’s takes two to lift them out they are so heavy. Plus, it’s in a bank that isn’t even where I live, as most here know I live on a remote island in Alaska. I have to fly or ferry just to see, look, deposit anymore coins, etc. which isn't ideal. I forget what’s in them because I rarely look in on them. It costs me $80+ a year for each box. That’s the price you have to pay for keeping your coins Safe. It’s well worth it to me, insurance would be too expensive although I’ve never actually looked into insuring my collection. It amazes me when I hear from some of the Posters here that have never sold a coin, never had a coin graded, some don’t even purchase graded coins, etc. like I said earlier, there’s no right way or wrong way to collect. I’ll just leave it at that!

Well, as always, Good Luck ALL!!!

I have to fly or ferry just to see, look, deposit anymore coins, etc. which isn’t ideal.
