.
I can see the symbology, which is complex, being two separate entities expressed respectfully in one conjoining theme. The ‘Native American Indians” and “Early Valley Forge,” which was the Continental Army’s Encampment in the Winter. So, you have to think about that whole scenario. Also, a place that I had been to as a young boy going up in New England. So again, it is a complicated design and the message is an important one that may have been forgotten by most of us over the centuries. Yet, when things are complicated, they tend to lose some artistic beauty. I myself try to picture these renderings in proof silver before drawing any conclusions. From an artistic design standpoint, it is a very difficult design for a coin. A 24x30 canvas maybe, but a coin with a big message – it’s complicated. So, I will just wait until I see how they strike up. But, 26NA -01 is my choice with finer snow flakes.

3rd try a charm??? My take on these designs. #1 I’m still trying to decide on whether this is supposed to be “pop-corn”, or a smart alec soldier told her how “neat”, adding a couple cups of water to a cauldron of boiling oil was? Or did the artist lose their train of thought and add a volcanic eruption and this is pumice and rock being launched into the air??? LOL Being big into skiing, doesn’t look like snow(spots) to me, mainly due to it appearing to be coming from the pot and traveling upward towards the coins apex, in an explosive elliptical pattern. However, it’s most likely snow. As that does resemble snow piled up on the back of her head, as we lose hair details, in addition to on top of the $1? Ponder… Maybe it’s hail, not to be confused with hell? Snow, most likely, as much was noted about how harsh the winter weather was at Valley Forge. Had the artist only rendered accurately, the human tendency to show cold in other ways, the confusion wouldn’t be occurring?

#2 This is, “He who walks behind the rows”! "He Who Walks Behind the Rows" is the main antagonist of Stephen King's “Children of the Corn” franchise. He is a demonic spirit posing as a twisted fertility deity, who corrupted the children of the remote town of Gatlin(Valley Forge) into a murderous cult bent of sacrificing every adult around.”

# 3 George, auditioning to play Draco Malfoy in the Chamber of Secrets, using a corn cob vs stick for his magic wand prop: “Serpensortia”! (makes a snake appear from the end of the caster's corn/wand.) Malfoy uses this spell in a duel against Potter.

#4 “It’s $1 for this corn porridge, however it’ll cost you more, if you’re wanting me to go “hang out”, under the ole Apple Tree!(wink, wink)

#4A “No way, am I going to the Ole Apple Tree w/ you George and because you’re so presumptuous as to bring blankets, you can roast your own corn tonight! By the way, it’s a $1!”

#5 “I can’t handle the pain in my aching neck, since I grew this enormous antler rack, out of my spine”! “Thankfully these bushels of corn hold me upright.”

#6 “Go ahead, try it! Take my corn, I dare you!” “If you even think of it, my pet Eagle will snatch the eye balls from your thick skull so fast, you’re head will spin! “

#6A “Do we look like we’re kidding? We’ll only tell you one more time, this is “magic” corn”!

#7 “Hey guys, we’re heading to the “Corn Fest” now! I’ve got the towels and corn, can someone give me a hand and grab that butter I churned?” Land O Lakes of course!

#8 “Really? A $1, for just one slice of corn pie? You’re crazy!” “No way, I’m paying that!”

#9 “I’m still not too stoked, however if you give me the slice of corn pie AND throw in a bowl of porridge, for a $1, I guess we got a deal.”

10???

#11 Nothing speaks louder of the “Oneidas” contributions at Valley Forge, quite like 11 ears of corn, woven into a string of Pop Corn, “Black Cats”! (Firecrackers/lady fingers, for those not in the know)

#11A Well, that is, nothing speaks louder of the Oneidas contributions at Valley Forge, than corn woven into a look alike strand of fireworks, w/ Sunny of Kellogg’s fame in the background! LOL Perhaps this is a symbolic Kellogs’s homage, to “Sunny” from Raisin Bran and “Corn Pops”? Hmmm…

# 12 Well you’ve heard of the “Octo Mom”? This, is the “Octo Corn”!

PS I like #1 the best! I noticed the snow on top of the $1 just before I posted this. I love snow! What happened to design #10? Here we go again with numbers “in question”, at the US Mint. LOL
