And I have never seen any Spacecraft in person, let alone being in/on more than one type of spacecraft--in Space! Incredible, I would trade up in a heartbeat to fly & orbit!...
But not for long to see a spacecraft if I can help it--Why? Because at the end of the month I will be in Orlando for some work...
Well guess what is about an hour away from Orlando at a location called Merritt Island? That's right, the Shuttle Atlantis is there along with the Saturn 5, and a few more rockets..I am all but there and I am Stoked!!

REB,

Thanks for your kind words. I would not describe myself as having vast numismatic knowledge at all. Quite the contrary. If some of the other guys around here heard you say that about me, they would LOL you outta here in a New York Minute! There are many here that have jumped on board recently that do indeed have strong, strong Numismatic Chops. They are all great guys and they all have taught me a thing or two about coins, trends, and the markets that they inhabit..That goes for you too Major D and REB, I sense your keen knowledge of the hobby...
I would say that once I focus on a particular coin or series, and perhaps the story, history, or provenance of a coin if any, I can become a fast and enthusiastic learner, even obsessive! The other guys could attest to that easily I think. Am I in the dark numismatically speaking? No, but I'm no expert by any stretch. I'm more of a work in progress. Aren't we all to some degree?...

Rick,

The Mint needs to throw a bone to the guys in the cheap seats and crank out a small run of mules. That would bring a lot of happiness and excitement to the hobby.

Major D,

That is freaking awesome! Does it date to 1962? Great Medal! I've never seen one before. That thing is amazing.

Thank you for sharing.

Major D,
Allow me to beg to differ just a tad on the 24YA and it's High Relief Strike..
I've been following this coin since the press release of its release(so to speak). I in fact, have ordered 2 of them..
They are indeed Struck in High Relief as described within the Mint page description itself. Also note that it carries the $100 face value, etc. on the Reverse.
However one would never know, given the very bland, uninspiring Mint Rendering/Artwork provided, not to mention that "High Relief" has been omitted from it's own Title.
I have been calling out this poor, boring Rendition/Artwork since the very beginning.
I've also predicted that once these coins have been shipped and in hand, and the coins are seen & photographed, that there could be some Wows going on, but I could be very wrong on that...
Everything else with your analysis is spot on IMO, and we'll see what happens later, over time?. Read the 24YA description of the coin below...
