The mint is pricing many products to high for many of their customers. I’ve heard from several collectors that they too have reduced the amount of purchases from the Mint. I’m one of them as well. I started back in ‘14. For several years I didn’t have any purchases from the mint. I just got tired of the games the mint was playing and once Ryder got the Top job, the pricing has gone thru the roof! There’s no reason at all for a $1000 premium on a Proof gold Eagle! The premiums on silver are awful too. Cag, another Poster over on MNB thinks the Mint is still selling Gold way to cheap!! Are you frickin kidding me? I’m sorry but I feel a $500 premium is plenty of profit. If the mint can’t cover costs at a $500 premium on 1 oz of gold then they need to STOP producing gold on the numismatic side. I’d hate to see that but, but “come on” Mint!! My complaining isn’t going to change anything tho. I’ll just keep purchasing ONLY the coins & medals that I “must” need and NOT the ones I just want if that makes any cents, lol!

Nope, as I said over on MNB…Impossible that those have shipped yet, let alone our coins as even being struck yet!?

Rick, I just got notification from the Seller I purchased my 2024 Lib/Brit Gold coin AND 2024 Lib/Brit medal on a Pre Sale that my coin & medal is being shipped!! That’s a great surprise. I was given my tracking number too. I hope that it is really being shipped and not just that a shipping label(s) has been created! Have you received anything from the Seller that you did a Pre Sale purchase?

Thx Rick! I’m not seeing any links yet. Over on MNB Cali reported that there will NOT be anything in the American Liberty Program for 2024. He said a couple other things about this. It’s a mess. The Mint is confused too I th8nk, lol! Imagine that!.

I/we are still waiting for your story about your Gold V75!!! I love good stories. I’m sure this one will be interesting. Are there ANY twists to your story, I hope so?

Two of my submissions (31 coins) are in the “imaging” process/phase. Three are in the grading process and 24 have been stuck. That submission was 8 separate box’s with three coins in each box (2021 Peace Dollars) from the mint still sealed/unopened. I was notified that there was only 23 coins found in my packages and they said they weren’t eligible for First Strike. This happened to two other submissions too but they went back and looked at their unboxing of those packages and saw they were indeed First Strike eligible. Thank God!! Now they need to look at the unboxing of the submission with the Peace Dollars. For some reason it’s still stuck. I’m going to call PCGS “again” to find out what’s going on with that submission. The suspense is killing me, lol! So far, PCGS has been awesome when I’ve called them!! They’ve been very easy to work with.

For what it’s worth there were 2 Silver Medal Coins released on ‘even’ years..The 2016, and the 2022. Could’ve been a demand/delay for those though?

It will get figured out soon enough…Patience, It could be a sleeper? Maybe not?

Like I said. Either way you look at it–A USM 1 oz High Relief Proof Gold Coin at around 5,000 pcs. is not a bad thing at all. It may take a few months/years? yet to fully play out..
Wait until we see it in hand, and in a First Strike Flag Label–Look out buddy..
Remember–Several naysayers and many didn’t pay attention to the 2021 HR Coin.. Then when it won Coin of the Year–Bam, everybody loves it, wants it now–Kind of Apples and oranges right now. But wait, you never know…

Thx Cali! I’m really enjoying this forum. I still will miss MNB as it’s a bit easier to see posts without going to the various articles. This blog has so much more info and articles tho so that’s a real plus. So far I’m really liking this blog and the folks that have been on this blog seem very knowledgeable and nice.
