Spain tried that with the Peseta in the 90s, it was an aluminum coin half the size of the penny and made of aluminum weighing half a gram. Talk about a useless nuisance. As Seth said, about half the states produced one mil sales tax tokens in the 1930s, mostly plastic. Everyone hated them ans in most states they fell into disuse in a few years. None circulated past the 1940s. A mil in 1935 is worth 3 cents today, interesting coincidence that's what a penny costs to produce today.

Well technically, can be any digital coin, bitcoin is mined as that was the selling premise. Think of it like a new credit card. You just increased your spending by say $20,000 (just you) and the bank put 20,000 in your account instantly. Didn't cost hardly anything, so versus making a die, and getting metals and pressing a 1 cent coin. They just issue cyber cents or whatever. Same as dogwcoin. Made as a joke. Was worth what .000000000001 cent and now I don't know haven't checked in a while but think it was 11.736363837377738977 cent each. I know it only goes 8 decimal places. That is why I laugh people say bitcoin is only 21 million, much less since tons lost from forgotten passwords or lost drives. 21 million plus those 8 digits after the decimal. Which is another 10 million for each whole number. So what 21 million x 10 million. That to me is almost as much as the current debt lol, which was also basically made from thin air. Gubmint said we good for it, so they print.

That is what I was saying, but you are right, costs a lot of energy to mine, but enough out there to work with. Can just have 1 computer to mine the rest. Or make your own. The official Brexit coin, britcoin, it could also be what the Chinese get call it. Lol. Oh. So solly

those aren't 'virtually free' to make - they require a fair amount of computer power, which consumes energy and requires hardware that over time wears out and has to be replaced, plus of course you need to have space and ventilation for these things, it adds up. if you are talking about 'mining' bitcoin, the cost is $10000 or so for each one. but even for others it may be cheaper to mine, but still many orders of magnitude more than $.03 per coin. and once you have them made, to actually use them by transacting on a blockchain requires about $50 per execution. it's a nice idea, but it's still far too expensive relative to existing solutions.

Oh my. John Stewart (not a fan, never really watched his show, but I commend him for his fight to help the nine eleven cops and firefighter and rescue workers get benefits) is back (I guess the constant switching of dei talking heads was a losing formula, plus hard to write for a black one day, a LGBT thr next, a white the next (though rare)) to take on the election. And to the amazed, he actually targeted biden more than Trump. More goofs and gaffs and even a close up begging people to realize what 20 years different makes. Screaming that at humans are old in their 70s. Despite a woman celebrating 112 years and spitting her teeth out on the cake, most people still die around 72. So I'd think 60 and over is considered old. I remember thinking at age 10 my parents were old and grandparents were really old. And decades later I think I am old, and feel older. So if the daily show has converted to chopping at bidens legs, like they did trump from 2015 til 2021 I wonder what that means. I bet they run kamala. And everyone else drops out. Or she picks big mike Obama or Oprah or Whoopi Goldberg to be her VP. Enjoy the summer. Spend time with your family for spring break. (Don't fly, because for some reason Pete can't seem to find out why airplanes can't keep their doors attached) enjoy your labor day BBQ because I think October to November will be the huge wedge that divides the US, unless of course trump was right and sitting president during war historically retains seat (biden has exponentially increased war chanced Iran, Russia, China, Gaza, N Korea, Afghanistan... but I think the real war will be versus the cartels that biden imported on US soil). All it will take is one shot to be fired (think fort Sumter) and the powder keg will ignite. I wonder how many dems will get bone spurs so they may dodge the draft since they are so anti war and anti gun. I bet Alec Baldwin will be first in line.

Dazed. they found that mother of the girlfriend killer guilty and I believe she's getting life in prison for it. The father goes on trial next. Unfortunately for them, they're of the wrong colour. You are right about news channels being scripted, that's the main reason I only watch 1 program a night. It is sad. and funny at the same time, that key words are used and repeated on every individual show, what are the odds? No independent thought allowed these days.

Are you buying the recent presidential silver medals? They are a steal for just $75. I guess they didn't hear about inflation ticking up again today.

I remember comey making his decision after not even calling Hillary to question. My guess is if she had child p0rn on her server she'd be arrested. If on her gubmint server, then it would have been national security which means forced retirement with buyout and full benefits. But classified info that could be hacked or stolen is perfectly fine as she testified for 9 hours before any real investigation done. No follow up. Innocent people don't hire a computer guy to bleach bit wedding photos. Nor do they destroy several laptops and cell phones. They are taxpayer devices. We should decide if they are destroyed or not. Take that woman that stole Pelosi laptop. Gubmint hunted her down in record time and prosecuted. She couldn't break in and it wasn't sold, not sure if it was even listed. No different than Hillary destruction of electronics. Once she did that, she stole gubmint property and at minimum charged with destruction of gubmint property. But since congress had subpoenaed it, now it would be federal offense and known as willful destruction of evidence. Aren't they trying to try the parents of that guy from Florida that killed his girlfriend? For covering up his crimes. Washing clothes, taking supplies to the camp area they think he may be and ultimately found dead of self elimination. Because she wash clothes that was hindering of an official investigation and destruction of evidence, and evidence tampering. But we know if prosecuted that mysterious deaths would soon find the Whistle-blower.

I don't really watch any of the prime time shows or weekend shows. Mostly local news. I think I have seen maybe 10 minutes of Tucker, 5 of Hannity, 5 of Laura, 5 of Anderson and maybe 5 to 10 of other cnn and BBC or CNBC talking heads, I mean parrots. I prefer to try to catch the coverage live and make my own conclusions, not just listen to the cliff notes the biased media pushes and usually out of context. But I do notice in feed that several publishers all use the same buzzwords and triggers. You can almost click to different channel and it'd be almost verbatim what other was saying. But they forget Brian Williams and his exaggeration of details of his experiences. Yet he is still a huge influence of their agenda. Soon forgotten is Hillary's helicopter experience. But neither were as intriguing as the kobe (flambe) Bryant (burnt) kerfuffle. Rescuers posting pics from the scene. But perfectly fine to show the full 10 minutes of floyd from 85 different angles and phones. I thought snuff films were illegal, but I guess if they were live feeds then it is exempt. I don't know, I didn't feel like I had a fair shake when I stood before judges, but what can you do?

Dazed, I remember all of the tidbits you inserted in your post, and It just amazes me no one is ever held to account for anything, as long as they're part of the deep state or swamp. I am impressed with your recall of all these incidences which clearly shows your mind is working far better than our current president, whomever that may be. They sure did round up all of those evil insurrectionists(?) in short order, but can't find the person that left a packet of coke/crack in the white house. Curious. Maybe they just need more surveillance cameras.I've always thought those idiots that broke those windows and doors in the Capitol should be charged and prosecuted, but that was only a handful of idiots. Do you ever watch Mark Levins show over the weekend? He was talking about the doj report on bidens handling of classified documents last night. This documents conclusion sounded exactly like Comey's report on Hillary. They both committed serious felonies, but we feel no responsible jury would convict them. Really. But with trump or any maga individual, hearsay is enough for multiple trials. And folks wonder why so few people living in this country have any confidence in our Justice dept., the FBI, or most government institutions. Including their accounting statements!

Poor uncle Joe sure had a rough week. Any ideas who the dems will be replacing him with in August?

Dazed, I remember all of the tidbits you inserted in your post, and It just amazes me no one is ever held to account for anything, as long as they’re part of the deep state or swamp. I am impressed with your recall of all these incidences which clearly shows your mind is working far better than our current president, whomever that may be. They sure did round up all of those evil insurrectionists(?) in short order, but can’t find the person that left a packet of coke/crack in the white house. Curious. Maybe they just need more surveillance cameras.I’ve always thought those idiots that broke those windows and doors in the Capitol should be charged and prosecuted, but that was only a handful of idiots. Do you ever watch Mark Levins show over the weekend? He was talking about the doj report on bidens handling of classified documents last night. This documents conclusion sounded exactly like Comey’s report on Hillary.

If only there was a coin that is virtually free to make. Something always accessible. I can't quite grasp it. I'm thinking analog. Something that is a bit of a mystery, cryptic you could say. I can almost see it in my mind. It isn't a heavy coin that I see in an aluminum or steel color. A LITEral COIN so to speak, that isn't heavy. Something that can appear magically from the ETHER net. One that is pan numeral. Binary even. Nope. Not a clue. Maybe one day the tech will catch up. Can you imagine coin searching in VR while you getting road head in a self driving car, but in the snow. The hint of danger makes it fun.

c_q,

During the Great Depression of the 1930s, they made ration tokens & tax tokens out of a very cheap "fiber" material in red & blue colors. But, like you said, the current labor/wages cost would still be above 1 cent, but they could do the nickel in fiber & save money, but they wouldn't work in vending machines (& the vending lobby in D.C. would never allow that).
