I went to mint. Didn't see it under production and sales. Typed tubman in search, page didn't change. Went to cumulative sales link current, and got a error message. Guess that why coin news didn't break it down like usual. Maybe it is on the underground internet, that's why it is called dark web right?

If the steel plow had not been invented til later, say 1900, would there have been such a movement to end manual labor (slavery). If war were to still break out, would Lincoln have done the same thing?

I think without this item, food would have been more scarce or too expensive without cheap (free) labor to keep the fields going. Hunger causes people to do funny things, much like alcohol does. Had the dustbowl occurred around (1870s to early 1880s) would that have made food scarce or too expensive for people to voice their opinion and push for change? I think without the steel plow that the dust bowl would not have happened. In the other article about the innovation coins I posited that despite Carver's research the dust bowl still happened. Warning unheeded. So take the Irish potato famine, apply bad crops here locally and I think America wouldn't be much different than pre CW was. I do know that if food harder to make that the population would not 1. Want to feed all these refugees pouring in 2. They would keep the status quo of cheap labor they already had in place. 3. France, England, Spain could have used the opportunity to retake the territory they recently lost and send more expendable to keep looking for gold and fountain of youth.

Control food, control the masses. Control water, control the world.

I think this innovation is the spark that led to the gradual group think to end slavery. Without this, or deere mass producing it, or perhaps Steam power tractor to pull it I think the landscape and political fields would be much different. I definitely think if these did not change farming and expedite it so much that no way Sherman would have burn a path to the sea. He totally would have seized the property, most likely killing the children and women who "owned" the farm/plantation. And no way would he force his army to take over the duties to run it, nor would Lincoln send non combatants to don't, so, guess that leaves Sherman to take over the chains. I doubt the north would have paid them to work. As the telegraph was expensive and manpower and money needed elsewhere. Or perhaps just indenture them til the war over and then free em. If free em first they would flee north to prevent other southern owner from taking them. Like Anthony Anderson or somebody. Talk about a sell out. Both Anthony Anderson of the 1600s and the actor of today.

Yes D&C, I too am interested in seeing the top sellers. Guess I'll head over to Mint website and see if figures are posted.

Where is updated list of top sellers? I'm sure the mint planned on tubman breaking top 6 for a couple weeks which they did make top 10. My spider sense says that the top 10 will have maybe 3 tubman listed. With Fani Willis travel certificates knocking off the other three.

According to Smithsonian dot org. John deere in 1837 used the broken blade to make the plow as steel was scarce. Much further down they list Lane as one the early inventors and put him at 1831.

When I search steel plow, or inventor steel plow, deere almost always gets top billing. So which is correct? Since lane sooner, I suspect him, but story says sawmill blade used, and that is deere credited. Both used it maybe? Two blades from same building type a coincidence? At least both were Illinois. I guess Edison didn't invent light bulb, he just perfected the filament. So deere didn't invent plow, he just made it better and mass produced it. Although most new John deere are made in Mexico, so maybe good the people putting them together are sneaking into America. Gonna need skilled workers to fix em, and we see how greedy auto workers are.

We can repurpose these new wind turbines into bird choppers. Can't think what a broken blade would be used for. Guard rail section maybe. Or slide so we don't have to drop children from the top of the wall . Or tie a couple side by side and make a pedestrian bridge to span ye Rio grand. At least until a high speed rail can be installed. Oh, right the cartel and smugglers love tunnels, so a subway, or underground railroad. Biden can shift the treasury printer from pumping out cash to mass producing birth certificates and citizenship/voting forms.

Oh. Maybe Mayor Pete the infrastructure guy can recycle them into airplane doors or train rails.
