That is indeed ridiculous. At the cost of these they should be 70’s. Quality control must be sub par today. Don’t blame you for returning them.

Interestingly, just days ago I read (in Discover Magazine) about Lake Titicaca in Southern Peru that is the largest lake in South America and is at an elevation of 12500 feet above sea level. What stuck with me though, is the people that live there live on manmade floating islands on the lake. They are called the Uros people. When the Inca Empire rose they were chased off their land to the shores of the lake. Lots of reeds, easy to hide there. Somewhere along the way, they started living on the lake, building small islands out of native giant bulrush sedge (totora) roots with reeds piled on top. They have been living like that since before the Inca Empire crumbled in the 16th century. They rebuild their islands yearly. Average island size is 21 x 32 yards and is shared by 3-8 different families. The islands can be made mobile. They used to move them to evade the Inca. Now they move them to chase the tourist trade.
I also read not too long ago that Mexico City is running out of drinking water and because the aquifer is being depleted, there are major sinking problems for the land in the area, which is screwing up many buildings in Mexico City.

Can’t see the forest for the trees. And if ya live out west, probably can’t see the forest cuz the fires burned em down.

Additionally, saw a documentary on Mexico city. Used to be under a 500 feet deep lake, but the conquerors had a centuries long plan to make it great again. It still floods, and they doing better, but still work to do. The show, “what on earth”

I wish I could help, Kaiser Wilhelm. I have had many pleasant dreams and few nightmares, but only one terrifying one (only because reality intruded into the dream. A long time ago I was dreaming a monster was coming through my bedroom wall so I woke up, and I heard a rodent scratching at my bedroom wall. That scared me real good for a second). I wish I could send you some of my tranquility. My “nightmares” are more mundane, work related ones. Like I can’t find something (a part, a tool, a place, an item) to complete whatever old job I am doing in my dream. I wake more frustrated than scared. Running around all night and I accomplished nothing. Didn’t even have fun. What a nightmare! Most of my life I was always aware I was in a dream so I could manipulate them somewhat. I would wake up if I died (shot in the jaw by the police) or if I knew I was about to (Huge tidal wave about to crash over me after watching The Day After Tomorrow). Only recently have I sometimes not realized I was dreaming while I was in the dream because they are usually so mundane now. I did experience a bit of sleep paralysis waking from normal sleep one time so far, and not very long ago. Woke up but could not make my limbs move for maybe 10 seconds, I guess.
