Hi Coin News friends, been a while since I was last here. Last time was my foolish take of "Ryder/Casey at the bat". I love the talk about ASEs per mintage but I am on a mission. I want to collect every ASE variety out there. (omitting signatures...I buy coins, not ink).

Who knows how many ASEs varieties will I need to collect to capture (and maybe retire) on owning a full set of American Silver Eagles up to 2023?

Kaiser,

With Ag spot at 22.91, I'm only wondering why so many feel this is a good value at $80 especially with half a million coins minted. I'll bet Magic Mike won't morally be able to use the word 'rare' when hawking this coin on his shows, unless he puts it in one of his 'rare' labels. I'm not wearing my special glasses, so I can't see into the future, but my guess is the value of these mass produced collectables will decrease over the years, unless the Ag spot spikes drastically. As for me, I'm glad to be sitting on the sidelines for all of the ASE's being offered at the current mint's pricing.

Ponder… Hmmm, getting close to its 7th Birthday! On April 6th 2024 the 2017 American Gold Liberty will have been available for purchase for 7 years! Less than 6 months to go! Oldest product on the Mints website available for sale, follows. The soon to be 10 year old, released back in 2014, the “Coin Discovery Set - An Introduction to Coin Collecting”, which contains 1 each of 2014, proof, uncirculated and circulated finish, Kennedy half dollars.

On December 14th we can celebrate 5 years of availability or the birthday of the 2018 American Innovation $1. If you’ve been on the fence with any of these offerings, now might be the time to strike? LOL Honorable mention to the 2018 Platinum Proof Coin, which will have its 6th birthday for sale on January 25th 2024.

Now for the oldest, Sold out and “Remind Me” products. The oldest Sold out product, still listed on the website is the 2020 Laura Bush Gold Coins as well as $1 and medal set. A few others also. Additionally the 2020 AI $1’s. As far as listed products on the “Remind Me” status, there are numerous products from 2019 that you can still sign up for, a Reminder!

I don’t know, however I’d venture to say there are 2X as many SOLD OUT and “Remind Me” status products as there are actual products on the US Mints site for sale?

Time to clean house US Mint! Ventris could you please send over the “computer janitor” to clear out and clean up this mess?

scrolling through the data (the best I could) it looks like it is possible the Mint removed the part of the program that indicates number available.

I have the same issue. Looks like the Mint has changed its coding so now someone has to figure out what it is.
