Kaiser,

Lol. With more than 300 products available on the Mint's website, maybe we should just use their product numbers in our comments posts.

I asked the mint that question and this is what I was told:

"returns go back through quality control. Acceptable coins go back on the shelf, unacceptable coins are destroyed."

Now if we can get their definition of acceptable we will have a better idea. I fear the same quality control personnel let them go out in the first place.

In reply to <a href="https://www.coinnews.net/2023/07/26/us-mint-sales-navy-1-oz-silver-medal-popular/#comment-524125">Craig</a>.

I believe Craig meant adding 1 as in, 109 is 43% more than $76. To elaborate, $76 is the cost of acquisition. A price you pay regardless. So that $76 would not be factored into the cost increase and not necessary to arrive to the answer. Therefore 10% would be 7.6. X4 to get to 40% would be 7.6, +7.6= 15.2. + 7.6= 22.8+ 7.6= 30.4. Then add another 3%. (2.28) gives 32.68. Which isn't 109. Indicating the number is off. I don't feel like doing the exact math, but just say it's 100, not 109. So the markup over what he can get the coin for would be 24% as percent means per 100. So 100 minus the 76. Leaves 24. Meaning you pay 24% more than if you got it from the mint. Technically since you pay the 76 (100% of mint price you base it off of) you are paying 124%. You aren't paying $124 for the coin which is what 124% would represent if using 100 as the sellers asking price. So it'd be $24 above asking (mint) making it a 24% difference. Therfore it isn't necessary to say it's a 124% increase. Subtract the 100% from the 124% and that gives you 24%. 24 +76=100. Boom. Math is transitive. Transitory is a Democrat smash-up of the words transgender (darwinian for soon to be extinct) and territory (as in an area where something is found) hence transitory. Or, an area where a doomed species (of you don't know what you are, you can't know what to eat to survive, also if you don't know what you are you don't know what to mate with meaning your genes don't pass forward so the species can survive) places like new York and San Diego will be the last Bastian of hope where zookeeper will try to help them using donated resources from socialistic acts and the donations will do to those designated areas. Or transitories. Math is fundamental. Meth funds the mental. I would love to see the FJB Nascar change its number to 8. A big old 8 ball to honor the legacy. If dead beat millionaire dad can be a legacy. But hey what you expect from a guy that cheats on his dead brother's widow. Keep it classy

Even with a subscription, and a waiting room and HOL increased to 25 the run still hasn't sold out. Even higher mintage of other coins ran out quick and gone within 30 minutes with a HOL of 1. Magic mike said dealers in Orlando were catching buyers leaving the mint area so they offered $2,000 for 10 coins. Wads of cash so they can get the FUN demarcation on the graded coin. Currently selling for $299. Xrp is almost done with court. And open ai and apple released world coin. Just scan your eye into a data base and they'll give you free coin. What could possibly go wrong
