Antonio, funny you should mention the 50th Anniversary Kennedy Half–Dollar Gold Proof Coin, since it had many firsts for the Mint. The coin was the first-ever gold half dollar offered by the United States Mint and the coin was struck in three-quarters of an ounce of 24 karat gold, representing the US Mint’s first use of this non standard weight (and it’s also the only 50th Anniversary Kennedy Half Dollar that features a dual date: 1964–2014).

Maybe they can have a “practice run” of these.

I completely missed out on those ones. Those reverse proof and enhanced reverse proof coins bewildered me until last year’s ASEs. If it hadn’t been for the Morgan and Peace dollars, I would have remained in the dark. I didn’t even know about the gold 50th anniversary Kennedy Half Dollar. I’m really behind. I’m happy I was able to get the 2021 two types reverse proof ASE set.

I’m still looking for the Type 1 2021 W ASE proof. I’m not giving up hope yet.

Of the 5,378 sold, my guess is half or more get returned from the bulk buyers. I believe the final mintage will be under 5,000 and maybe under 4,000. If that becomes the case, you should reap a pretty palladium penny from your purchase.
