Yes Kaiser, there are sellers who pull the wool over many buyers peddling bullion as something else. Or if the seller is coy, just states American Silver Eagle without specifying bullion, burnished or proof leaving it up to the buyer to believe they're getting what they want - proof at a cheaper price. :-(

Kaiser ---
As I was re-reading (an "old guy" thing to do I'm sure you'll agree) these entries, I thought you might find it of interest that we essentially walked in the same foot prints.

The picture of the "2 Kaisers" I posted was taken outside the small shop at the point in the upper left of your overall picture. The picture looking up at the Abbey was taken at the lower left of your picture and across that river. And I walked some of the same incredible hallways with their gorgeously-ornate celings.

I wonder how many of our other CoinNews.Net friends have similarly crossed virtual paths ....

Agree Major D on bullion secondary market madness.

Proofs and burnished coins are a tad expensive right now but only time will tell how much value they'll be worth. What's the definition of limited anyway? 75K, 20K, 10K? Again, time will begin to set the true market price for them not the ginned up hype some folks (and Mint officials) are trying to force unto the market.

I'm done unless the Mint changes its mind about silver proof S Morgan and Peace dollars. Then I'm game. Game on!
