Hi Mike,
Sorry to hear that your return/exchange went just as I thought it would. The Mint really needs to revamp (create?) their quality control department. If this was their plan to shut you up, it is the same plan they have been using for at least 5 years now. I put a printout of the mint saying the coins are not damaged with my set, since I probably will not be the person who sells them. If I thought mine were damaged, I would have returned mine, too. I am still not 100% certain they are not damaged but somewhere in the 90+% range.

Major D, Jeff, SENZA, Kaiser, Antonio & The Rest of My Virtual Coin Collecting Enthusiasts ---

Just to tie up this loose end ... I just got confirmation from my July 17 return of this incredibly horribly shrink wrapped (or whatever they call it) abortion that they have processed my return request and money.

But to save you all some time looking for my prior followup, I received the replacement set (that I ordered as a new order, not as a replacement in their eyes) about a week ago. And it was just as bad as the first. As a matter of fact I think I could also tell the difference in die wear as the coins didn't look as crisp. The one coin I remember was the Kennedy half. Nearly Proof-like in the returned set but perfectly ho-hum in the replacement.

It almost makes me wonder whether this was their plan to shut up complainers like me ..... Hope you guys fair better.

Major ---
I just received the replacement (that I ordered instead of trusting them to send me a "new" one).

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news ... the replacement was also bad.

But re your 7 day window, I think this quality issue is so bad that they will have to refund or replace your coins when all the shit that hit the fan on this one eventually falls off the walls.

Don't drink the Cool Aid. Make them shoot you.

I have filled out those surveys multiple times. I always get the sinking suspicion that they go right into the Mint's spam folder. They seemingly have tightened up a bit on the order bots clogging up noon sales rushes. So, maybe I DID make a difference. Or maybe just fewer scalpers were interested in speculating in coins this year.
